• The learning platform is used as a matter of course.• Senior management have planned how to use the learning platform to support the schools aims. Many school administrative procedures are conducted through the learning platform.• Pupils routinely access resources and complete tasks through the learning platform.• Parents use the learning platform to access information about school policies/procedures as well as about their child's education.• The school is receptive to all ideas about how it may further use and develop the learning platform.

Where are we on our journey?

Yes! People know what Frog is and they know what they use it for. Its becoming a common word in staff meetings and is pushed with students.

Yes! It is being used day to day by staff and students to access information and communicate. Some elements of department pages are developing with an impact on learning.

Yes! Parental engagement is present with unique user names. More staff are using the VLE to develop teaching and learning resources and providing for out of the classroom learning.

Some! The VLE is used as a matter of course daily by students/staff. More areas need to have specific teaching and learning resources. Planning in place to make learning areas easy to produce for all staff.

Some! Certain areas have been transformed – initially communication and some school procedures. More impact with teaching and learning across the school identified as an improvement.

My Set Work

Page 10: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

My Set Work• A method of sharing resources to students.• An easy way for students to hand electronic work to you for assessment.• Can be used to show examples of work for group and peer assessment.• Easy to set up and easy to train other staff to use.

Page 11: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

My Set WorkMy Set work is good for schools who...

• Produce a lot of digital work and need a simple way of collecting it in.• Want to impact instantly and use basic Frog bricks.• Want to send resources directly to students for work set.• Want to minimise paper. (£££!)• Already use digital portfolios.

Page 12: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

ReviseWise• An online revision portal for KS4 students.• Built using simple bricks and embedded pages to create easy pages to update and add resources.• Can combine in school resources and resources from external providers.• Allows students to have a reliable revision area.• Involves all subject areas therefore is provides whole school impact.

Page 13: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation
Page 14: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

ReviseWiseReviseWise would work for school who.. • are at the start of their Frog journey and would like to impact on a whole school area that includes all departments. • would like to create a simple widget set to work with their own revision areas. • would like a simple page to train staff on how to use Frog effectively as a teaching and learning tool. • would like an area that can be easily shared with parents/carers.

Page 15: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

Project Based Learning• A method of using a range of resources and promoting the VLE.• Cross curricular involving a range of different subjects.• Use of forums as an alternative method of communication for students and staff.• Place to showcase work and use online voting.• Gets students involved and using the VLE for learning.

Project Based LearningProject Based Curriculum pages would work for schools who… • have an effective project based curriculum in place and are looking at how to develop it further. • are after methods of engaging students in online forums and alternative methods of communication. • are wanting to promote their project based curriculums with different stake holders through communication, online voting and methods of showcasing work produced.

Page 20: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

Department Pages• Every department has responsibility over a ‘learning zone’.• Support is offered to departments to develop unique areas to support different topics.• ‘Web Files’ are commonly used to upload school resources.• Homework is placed on the VLE to minimise paper being printed.

Page 21: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

• The English Department has a number of pages based around different topics taken at GCSE.• Each page has a range of media which uses a number of key Frog bricks to present it in a format that is viewable by students.• The pages are used as a resource both in the lessons and also as homework activities which staff can set students. • Discussion forums are in place for students to comment on the video clips they have watched.

Department Pages

Page 22: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation
Page 23: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

• The Mathematics Department has a number of different Frog pages linked to levels and grades from KS3 to KS5.• Each level is broken down into key themes.• Each theme has worksheets, videos and links directly to the My Maths website with activities.• Students like the simple layout and it is one of the top used department sites in school.

Department Pages

Page 25: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

• The Technology Faulty has a range of resource pages for all courses from KS3 to KS5.• The pages follow a similar design which makes them easy to navigate and upload resources using Web Files bricks. • There are also a range of extra curricular and resource areas for all students to use and access as part of their studies.• All pages are used and updated by different members of the staff in the department. Initial design and layout by Frog trained staff.

Department Pages Departments would work for a school who: • have eager staff in each department who could work with other staff to develop a suitable resource area. • have key departments who could demonstrate the success of their own areas and how it has impacted on teaching and learning. • have departments with a lot of electronic resources (Eg Podcasts, Artwork etc.)• already have a VLE with department resources on it.

Page 32: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

Active Learning• A development of online lesson planning and learning resources for lessons.• Built using frog ‘widgets’ and embedded pages to make it easier for staff.• Follows frame work of a lesson plan to include all areas.• Access to existing school resources and a good place to put external resources.

Page 33: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation
Page 34: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

Active LearningThe Active Learning concept is good for schools who…• are willing to try the new elements of Frog straight away to implement with more skilled staff first. • want to produce impact across the school over a period of time with staff and students building Active Learning pages. • want to combine all resources available into one place based around topics and/or specific lessons.

Page 35: Haybridge High School and Sixth Form Presentation

Workspaces• New Frog feature that is based around the concept of ‘groups’.• Automatically generated pages that can be allocated to students and staff.• Can be produced quickly and used as a resource base along with developing learning conversations between the group.• Easy, quick and searchable – the further of teaching and learning pages at Haybridge.

WorkspacesWorkspaces would work for schools who…• want to provide an individualised teaching and learning area for groups of students. • want to start small and give responsibilities to members of staff who can then pass on their knowledge. • would like to use the ‘social networking’ side of Frog to its full potential.
