Almighty God, we assemble today to do the business of the State of Texasand, as in all things, we ask you to be with us. Use your guidance and wisdom toinspire the great principles of this nation and this great state to influence each andevery decision through the men and women chosen as representatives of thepeople.

On this Memorial Day we honor those brave Americans, many of whomfrom this Lone Star State, gave their lives in defense of our nation.
