It is designed to measure heat deflec- tion temperature and VICAT softening temperature for evaluation of thermal property of plastic materials. HV-3000-P3/P6 Bench type HDT/VICAT tester. It is designed to measure heat deflection temperature and VICAT softening temperature for evaluation of thermal property of plastic materi- als. This tester features high precision temperature ramp rate control. LVDT sensor is used on each station to ensure high accuracy of deflection measurement. HV-3000-P3C/P6C Floor model HDT/VICAT tester. Application same as above. With a built in water chiller, the oil bath can be cooled down faster and easier without connecting to an external water supply. This model comes with the high precision temperature ramp rate control and LVDT sensors. The operator can easily monitor real-time graph, start cooling, modify test condition and edit test report in a few simple steps with the HDT software. Moreover, our HDT software can automatically calculate required loading weight based on specified test conditions and save test result. VICAT Softening temperature "VICAT softening temperature" or "VICAT hardness is the determination of the softening point for materials that have no definite melting point, such as plastics. It is taken as the temperature at which the specimen is penetrated to a depth of 1 mm by a flat-ended needle with a 1 mm2 circular or square cross-section. For the VICAT A test, a load of 10 N is used. For the VICAT B test, the load is 50 N.
