NEWS in General
o The children are enjoyed the yearly summer holidays with full of fun and enjoyment.
o The parliament election held to constitute 16th Lokh Sabha, and historical results came out. The people elected many Bharatiya Janata Party members and it leads Mr. Narendra Modi as a Prime Minister of India.
o The temperature and climate became too hot, it touches 43 degree Celsius, Historical temperature recorded Delhi reached 48 Degree Celsius.
o Little rain drizzling makes the climate time to time decrease
o Higher Secondary School Result published on 9th of May 2014, with 74.40% Tiruvannamalai District holds the last ranking among the 32 Districts of Tamilnadu.
o The School Secondary Leaving Certificate Annual examination result published on 23rd May 2014, Tiruvannamalai is with 77.84% results holding its last ranking among 32 District.
Hariksha Learning Centre Information
Hariksha Learning Centre is announced with one month summer vacation holidays. This helps the children to manage the peak summer.
Responding to our request Shamdasani Foundation from Hong kong extended their
30,000/- (Thirty Thousands). This contribution helps the children to have their uniform for this academic year. They also plan to support the children of Hariksha Learning centre for the subsequent years.

Donation amount Rs 1000/- received from Mrs. Sumathi visvathan for learning center mid time meal to hariksha children one day

Rainbow Life Children Home
New Admission
This year during expecting new academic year the following deserving children are approached our organization for the admission. Considering the pathetic situation of the children they are admitted in our Rainbow Life Children Home.
Meyyadurai, got admitted in our Rainbow Life Children Home on 1st May 2014.
Saravanan 11Years, Manigandan 8 Years, C/o K. Sagunthala W/o Krishnan, Door No: 11, Chinnakallapadi Village and Post, Tiruvannamalai Taluk & District, Mobile No: 9566763499 admitted the children in our children home. The children has one elder brother named Sakthivel studying in 10th expired in a road accident.
The parent of the children worked in Chennai as a daily labour in the building construction. For the holidays they came to their home town with the bike (two wheeler), in the midway the two wheeler met with an accident the father passed away in the accident spot and the mother also passed away in the hospital on 9th September 2013. After the sad demise of the parents the grandparents taken care the children. Due to their age they are not able to provide the children with basic fulfillments and education. Considering the very pathetic family situation the children Saravanan and Manigandan are admitted in our children Rainbow Life Children Home on 4th May 2014.
Sathya & Soundharya are re-admitted in our Rainbow Life Children Home on 28th May 2014. Both the girl children are studied in our Rainbow, the father is making problem to bring back the children, so the grand mother took them back last year. Considering the pitiable situation of the grand mother the children are re-admitted in our home.
Public Examination Results
The SSLC (10th Standard) results announced on 23rd of May 2014. Our children 7 members are attended the exams 5 of them are passed in the examination and 2 children are detained in the examinations. The results are as follows, the maximum marks is 500
1. Prasanth obtained 398 Marks
2. Prabagar obtained 347 Marks
3. Ramachandran obtained 263 Marks
4. Selvaperumal obtained 262 Marks
5. Banupriya obtained 247 Marks
6. Sasikala failed in three subjects (English 32 marks, Maths 26 Marks, Science 22 marks)
7. Venkatesaperumal failed in two subjects (English 27 marks, Maths 27 marks)
The pass mark in one subject is 35, the Government is providing an opportunity that the children can re-appear in the failed subjects and try their best to get pass marks. And avail the opportunity to get admit in any of the higher education courses.
Thiagarajan studying in the Diploma course is announced with the result, he obtained the following marks, previously he failed in 3 subjects in his 1st semester exams and he re appeared in it. Now his results for his 1st semester re-appearance and 2nd semester are published.

Parameswari, the nursing student paid the examination fees, from 2nd May 2014 she is attending on practical training in the Government Hospital, Tiruvannamalai. Everyday she started 7.30 am., and coming back at 4.30 am., Every weekend she is attending the college.
All other children are promoted to their next classes, all are interested very much to attend their next standard. .
Medical Information
Sasikala got affected with fever on 7th May 2014, consulted with physician, the needed medication provided.
Priya got injured on 17th May 2014 while playing, consulted with physician, needed medical investigations (x-ray) completed, provided with medication. After the medication now she got cured.
Arulkumar got ear pain and infection for which twice consulted with the ENT Specialist. The needed medication provided to him.
Ramachandran, Chandru, Sabari, Venkatesh, Manigandan got season sickness in this month (mango, heat blister, abscess, etc.,) for which consulted with the doctor and necessary treatment provided to them.
Gopalakrishnan got fever for which 4 time consulted with the physician and necessary treatment provided to him.
Emotional Attention
Gopalakrishnan got affected repeated health issues, so the grand father came and requested that he is willing to take him to the Chennai, Hospital on 20th May 2014. He
made health check up and no abnormalities are found. He came back to our home on 1st June, he was very calm, and he is not talked with any of his friends in our home.
Best Performers
Chandru is selected as a good performer and practitioner among boys. He is showing good interest in hi studies, he scored 100% result in our home test.
Priya studying in 10th standard and Jaya studying 7th standard are selected as a good performer of May Month, for their good practice, helping tendency, education, etc.,
Maintenance
The water purifier Reverse Osmosis machine in Boys Home and Girls Home got problem, the technician is called and made it ready to provide purified drinking water for children.
Birthday Celebration
Banupriya celebrated her birthday on 2nd May 2014, she is provided with new dresses and in the evening she is celebrated the birthday with cake distribution to all of her friends in our home.
Chandru celebrated his birthday with cakes on 9th May 2014.
Sudhagar celebrated his birthday on 25th May and Pandian celebrated his birthday on 26th May 2014. Both of them are celebrated their birthday with cakes, the cake distribution gives the children a great joy and happy mood among the children.
Venkatesaperumal celebrated his birthday on 27th May 2014 with new dresses and evening cake distribution.
Local Contribution
Mr. Ramesh brother provided the night dinner on 3rd May to share the joy of the wedding day of his elder sister and uncle.

Pandian is willing to go to his home town to spend the summer holidays, he requested his grandfather to take him for the holidays on 12th May. He counseled him to spent his summer holidays in the home itself in a useful manner. After this he is pleased to stay in our home in the summer holidays.
Sudhakar got adolescent crisis, he made a friend request, asking her name, education to a girl who lives in the same street of the boys home. In India the parents might think that this as a teasing, so the necessary counseling is given to him, we called his uncle and shared this information.
Staff Training Participation
Our Staff Velu & Sankar are attended the training conducted in Chennai by Department of Social Defence. This training is regarding the Girl Children Protection, Child Marriage. In this training early child marriage, child rights, child right related laws, child protection scheme, Juvenile Justice Act, Integrated Child Protection Scheme, etc.,
Collaboration
The District Social Welfare Office and District Child Protection Office organized a street play in Chengam. Our team member participated in this street play, the play shares the information about the missing children, prevention of sexual offenses against children.
