to be held at the Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur between 1-4 February, 2018 under the auspices of the Chemical Research Society of India. The purpose of the National Symposium in Chemistry is to provide a forum for the scientists, teachers and students in the country to participate and discuss the recent development in chemical sciences. This also aims to promote exchange of ideas and creates an opportunity for collaborative endeavors in the frontier interdisciplinary ideas. All the sessions/lectures will be held in the auditorium of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. The symposium includes medal lectures, poster presentation apart from special lectures by eminent chemists from India and abroad. The program will also have a special thematic session on “New Approaches to Address Bio-Geo-Environmental Pathways of Chemical Pollutants". CRSI & Royal Society of Chemistry will also host the joint symposium in chemistry.

thCRSI was established in 1999 as part of the 50 Anniversary of the country's independence. Currently, the CRSI represents around 2000 lifetime members, who participates in the study, practice, teaching and promotion of chemistry. The main objectives of the CRSI are to recognize, promote and foster talent in chemistry and chemical sciences and to improve the quality of chemical education at all levels. The CRSI organizes conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia and other related programs to facilitate and promote research in all branches of chemistry.

Format of Abstract
One page abstract with a minimum of 3-4 references, Font to be in Times New Roman throughout the abstract. Title 12 Pt bold, Centered. Authors: Presenting author to be underlined, senior author to be starred (11 Pt normal). Address: Department name, institute name and address in italics. Abstract to be in single space and have a margin of 1 inch (top & bottom); 1.25 inch left/right. Body text should be followed by figures/schemes if any and then finally by references. References to be cited in parenthesis e.g. (1). References: Heading 10 point bold. References to be 10 Pt, normal single space.

The city of Raipur is the capital of Chhattisgarh. It represents the administrative, educational, business, and industrial seat of the State of Chhattisgarh. In its immediate neighborhood lies the Steel city of India- Bhilai, where one of the Asia's largest Steel plant is located. In the South of Raipur, the Tribal heart of India-the Bastar, where the tribal culture, art and philosophy are still preserved in pristine form along with the natural settings in deep and thick woods. Raipur is located about 300 k.m. from Nagpur in the East on the Mumbai-Kolkata trunk line. It is well connected with major cities of India by Air, Rail and Road. In February, the climate of Raipur is pleasant. Normal winter clothing and other outfit will suffice.
SoS in Chemistry is one of the oldest and most prominent departments in Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, founded in 1972. Under the supervision of dedicated teachers, it offers M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs. The academic achievements of the SoS are well reected by over 600 research papers published at the world level & more than 160 Ph.D.'s produced covering a wide spectrum of the chemical sciences. The school has been the proud recipient of DST-FIST (Phase I & II) and has been tagged as a SAP department under the DRS program (Phase I & II) by the UGC, New Delhi.
School of Studies in Chemistry
Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), established in 1964, is the largest and the oldest academic institution of Chhattisgarh state. The PRSU has 300 acres sprawling campus and grown enormously over the last 53 years in terms of number of students (approx. 2 lakhs) as well as disciplines, viz., arts, science, life science, humanities, law, education, pharmacy, management, physical education, etc. 27 Schools of Studies and around 150 affiliated colleges spread over different districts of Chhattisgarh. Recently it has been accredited with “A” grade by NAAC.

** The registration fee of Rs. 2000.00 is applicable only to students who are
currently members of CRSI. It is mandatory for the students to become a
Life Member of CRSI to attend meetings and/or present posters. If a student
becomes a Life Member of the CRSI after paying Rs 5000.00 (discounted
fee), his/her registration fee will be waived for CRSI-NSC-22. For more
