similar efforts at other institutions, for example, the New York Public Library, has digitized the color plates from 2012-2014.  

o   Provided leadership for the EPSL web site redesign in 2007. The site was the first in the UM Libraries to use Web 2.0 technology – RSS feed from the EPSL News Blog. EPSL site was redesigned again in 2012, and was the first one to be moved to the new content management system.  

o   Provided leadership for piloting and adopting Instant Messaging (IM) at the EPSL reference desk in 2007. Text-messaging reference service was added later. In 2010 QR codes were created and posted strategically throughout EPSL to improve communication with users on all floors of the four-story building.  

Collection Management - Lead realignment of the physical collection of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Library. Exercise sole responsibility for purchases and cancellations for several science fund line. Assess existing collections, review new purchase plan acquisitions, respond to faculty and student requests, place orders, and weed materials. Conduct comprehensive collections assessments to measure the Libraries’ capability to support new degree programs within the schools and colleges the Engineering and Physical Sciences Serve. Communicate with publishers to develop useful library resources. Collaborate with other science librarians on campus through the SciTech Collaborative to build and maintain electronic and print collections for science and technology disciplines, and with other librarians for the overall University collection.  Reference & Research Assistance – Lead EPSL librarians in their reference and research assistance. In-depth assistance to students and faculty are provided via phone, email, chat, as well as in-person consultations.  Outreach - Communicate with faculty to promote new and existing library services, recent additions or changes to collections, and upcoming events. Attend Campus events as time permits. Empower faculty to shape collections by distributing journal review surveys, and through research on e-book usage. Provided leadership for expanding the very popular document delivery service for faculty to EPSL. This new service is offered to University of Maryland faculty and students.  Scholarly Communication & Research Data Services – Coordinate instructional programming and workshops directed towards graduate students and faculty. Encourage new pedagogy for instruction on these topics, including using Twitter as a model of scholarly discourse. Contribute to research data initiatives within the UMD Libraries’ as a member of the Advisory to the Research Data Services team. Lead consultative services to faculty on curation, publishing, and long-term preservation of scientific data.

Managed the establishment/foundation of the newly created Research Center for New Technologies, from space design, construction and equipment purchasing, to hiring of a dozen of researchers for the Center. Coordinated scientific and research activities between the Center and the Macedonian Academy of Arts and Sciences Presidency.

Utilized ColdFusion and Access to create a directory with basic information on library staff (position, phone, location, etc.), but also librarians’ liaisons responsibilities and the names of the departments’ library liaisons. 2001.  •   Creator. InfoX – Information Exchange (restricted to Georgetown library staff). Utilized ColdFusion and MySQL to create a combination of ‘bulletin board’ and ‘staff knowledge repository’. Its purpose is to keep desk staff aware of current issues that affect their work (often that day or shift) as well as provide a central location for information they may need to refer to later. 2002.  •   Chair of Committee and Programming author. New Materials Lists. Utilized Perl for programming the creation of over 50 webpages based on discipline, format, or collection from data extracted from the catalog. 2004.  •   Creator. Borrowing in Person from Other Libraries database. Utilized ColdFusion and Microsoft Access to create a database for borrowing privileges from different consortial partners. 2005
