General Objectives: Attain a symbiotic relationship among the students, head nurses, clinical instructors and hospital staff in which learning is facilitated toward attainment of competency in rendering quality care to individuals and family within the health care delivery setting. Specific Objectives: To have an introduction between head nurses and student nurses in cooperation with the clinical instructor. To orient the student nurses in the assigned hospital area, the setting, the tasks and responsibility assigned upon them. To motivate the students through a reward-system based leadership style. To encourage the students to draw upon their accumulated personal experiences to present an evidence-based case presentation through a questionnaire. HEAD NURSING

Description:

This course incorporates nursing leadership and management towards its all aspects to

facilitate enhancement of competence and effectiveness of students as a nurse in providing

quality and compassionate nursing care.

General Objectives:

Attain a symbiotic relationship among the students, head nurses, clinical instructors and

hospital staff in which learning is facilitated toward attainment of competency in

rendering quality care to individuals and family within the health care delivery setting.

Specific Objectives:

To have an introduction between head nurses and student nurses in cooperation

with the clinical instructor.

To provide refreshment and enhancement of nursing principles for the nursing

students through Pre- Test and Post- Test.

through assignment, project, report and requirement.

To promote an individualized primary care to attend the needs of the patients.

To assist in giving medication with the supervision of Clinical Instructor and

utilize nursing process to improve the quality patient care.

To apply the Core Competency Standard that will serve as a unifying framework

for nursing education, regulation and practice.

To demonstrate the vision/mission of the school which is service oriented,

research motivated, technology enable and Marian inspired.
