This will increase our reach beyond our existing communities of members and supporters through the use of innovative digital strategies, new platforms and online ways of campaigning and organising to win on issues and grow the Union and levels of engagement and activism. • Analyse, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of projects, campaigns, engagement and activism using relevant metrics - in consultation with others

• Activate and grow the activism and capacity of members / supporters

• Grow our influence amongst supporters and recruit new members through creative online campaigns

‘cut-through’ and engage new groups of supporters and activate existing members

• The organisation sees a sustainable improvement in creative content, platforms used and staff capability in this regard

• Regular reporting to key stakeholders relying on evidenced results, supported by metrics that lead to critical analysis that improved what we do

• Significant increases in our online supporter and member communities and sustained levels of activism

Innovation

• Keep NZEI Te Riu Roa at the forefront of global new initiatives, practices, systems and methods of digital organising and campaigning

• Review and strengthen the ability of NZEI Te Riu Roa to gather and analyse data around audience segments, engagement and activism.

• Develop and test new ways to organise / campaign online.

• Develop and implement online methods of engagement and recruitment that do not rely on face-to-face communication

• Implement projects and models of operation that allow for the identification and development of leaders whose roles may be new to the traditional union model

• NZEI Te Riu Roa leads the debate and pioneers new ways of campaigning and organising online.

• That we deliver effective new pathways to traditional union membership

• That data gathering and analysis becomes an integral part of all of our campaigning and organising

• Our online campaigns are effective and consistently reach new audiences

• Mechanisms are in place that identify and support the transition from online activism to offline activism and supporter to member

• New forms of leadership are established and supported and evidenced in the work we do

Relationship Management

• Develop, maintain and positively manage relationships relevant to the role’s purpose including internal stakeholders, governance, other unions and external contractors and suppliers

• Proactively seek out and establish

Key skills The Online Project Manager will have the following skills:

• Experience in and understanding of how the principles of multi-channel marketing impact on online / digital campaigning and organising

• A demonstrated capacity in developing, leading and implementing innovative and effective digital campaigns that moves supporters / members through engagement to sustained activism

• A demonstrated understanding of the online landscape, functionality and content aligned with experience in using online and digital campaigning tools and platforms

• An ability to identify and implement strategies to move online activists to off-line campaigning and organising

• Experience in data manipulation and analysis, growing supporter and membership numbers and using data analytics to inform future actions

• Skills in creating digital content across multiple platforms, making sound judgements and publishing with minimal supervision
