Portal Machining Center
Ongoing customer demands for a more flexible uni ver sal machine design resulted in the creation of the TFS series. These are of portal configuration with a fixed cross rail. The TFS series offers customers in many industry sec-tors, e.g. Tool and Die Industry, Aerospace Industry and General Engineering, an economical and powerful solu-tion for five-sided or five-axis-machining requirements and even for combined turning applica tions. TFS offers a variety of options like automatically exchangeable milling heads, tables in different designs and practical solutions for the peripherals.

G/GFPortal Machining Centers in Gantry Design
The essential advantage of the gantry design is to work optimally on big, heavy and unwieldy components, without involving their weight as factor for the machining result. This eliminates the lack in dynamic through table of workpiece influence.

Due to innovative machining techno-logy, the FOGS provides a new dimension in high speed milling. The Droop+Rein concept is a quantum leap in technological development considering time and quality:
– The amount of manual work associated with traditional machining is reduced to a minimum.
– Superior surface accuracy is achieved by using efficient cutting tools.
Proven design with well tested components provided for the smooth operation of a totally automated system using:
– Fully automatic pallet change– Completely automatic tool change with up to 320
tools– Tool length and diameter measuring and compen-
sation– Automatically exchangeable motor spindles
The combination of machines, CNC controls, tools, motor spindles and pallet changing units results in efficient, process-oriented systems.
