I was medically discharged from the Army due to a back injury sustained in Bosnia and suffered for many years, with sciatica, and back pain because of disc damage caused by compression in my lower back. I was encouraged to come to a healing meeting at Destiny Church in Aberdeen although a non-believer! Whilst being prayed for I felt an amazing warming and vibrating feeling of the injured area. It was a very moving experience. I felt the power of Jesus work in me and

touch me for the fi rst time. That moment changed my life and that of my wife from that day! After a later MRI scan it was proved that I had no compression in my spine! God is truly great!! Barry Maitland

Lynne Smilie was brought up constantly watching her father violenty abusing her mother, fi nally killing her at the age of 33. The years that followed were a huge battle for Lynne... trying to make sense of her past, trying to pick up the pieces with no help. When she felt that she could no longer go on with life she had an amazing, life changing encounter with Jesus.

“When I was in my twenties, before I became a Christian, I was undergoing radiotherapy for several tumours that I had. Some Christians offered to pray for me and I thought, “Well, I’ve got nothing to lose!”. As they were praying I felt some of the tumours disappear right there and then and I knew that God had healed me. When I returned to the hospital for my check-up they informed me that all of the tumours had gone and that I no longer needed to continue with the radiotherapy.
