The course will appeal to you if you have a strong interest in health, social care or early year’s services and acts as a good basis for developing a career in care settings including residential homes, hospitals, day centres, nurseries and community services. You will learn about the needs and rights of different groups of people who use these services. These include children, older people and those with various illnesses and disabilities. You will also learn to plan, organise and produce written work and to develop your study skills and skills in IT and communication. Throughout the year you will grow in confidence and skills allowing you to progress to level 3 courses or into the workplace. The course is 100% coursework.
