A little bit about my classroom . . .

-Every student has a partner

-Every couple joins another couple to create a family

-Students work on projects as individuals with a partner, and with their family group.

- Families must establish and work with their strengths when working on a project.

- I use back channels like Today’s meet and a haiku classroom to extend the walls and school day.

The Present

Page 23: Health Entertainment. Question of Life Five frogs were sitting on a log. One decided to jump off. How many frogs were left on the log?

A gift to yourself It’s the one thing that doesn’t change in ever

changing times.

It will help you to be more productive and more prosperous.

It will make you feel happier and more successful in everything you do.

Boomerang Theory

Page 25: Health Entertainment. Question of Life Five frogs were sitting on a log. One decided to jump off. How many frogs were left on the log?

Only one person controls the Boomerang

Boomerang theory states what goes around comes around.

What are you throwing out there with the hopes of getting back?

Personality, effort, dedication, character traits

Are you using your strengths?

Are you learning from the past, living in the present, and focusing on your future with purpose.

Iceberg Theory

Page 27: Health Entertainment. Question of Life Five frogs were sitting on a log. One decided to jump off. How many frogs were left on the log?

See what no one else sees1/3 is above the surface

2/3 is below the surface

Ask the right questions

Listen to the answers

It can stay upright forever, sink slowly over time, or sink swiftly with little or no warning.

Ice bergs are often admired for their beauty, avoided by some, and taken for granted or forgotten by others.

Ant Philosophy

Page 30: Health Entertainment. Question of Life Five frogs were sitting on a log. One decided to jump off. How many frogs were left on the log?

Everyone Should Study Ants

Part One- Ants Never Quit- If you try to stop them they will find another way around. Thought to think about? Never quit looking for a way to get were you were supposed to go.

Part Two- Ants Think Winter all Summer-We would all like summer to last forever but how many of us take time to get ready for winter during summer. Ants are gathering and storing their food. They are working hard. So when you want to stomp on an ant stop and ask your self if you are working just as hard. Or someone may just pass you by.

Page 31: Health Entertainment. Question of Life Five frogs were sitting on a log. One decided to jump off. How many frogs were left on the log?

Ants can teach us a lot . . . Third Part- Ants think Summer all Winter-

During the winter the ants remind themselves that this won’t last forever we need to physically and mentally prepare for summer. They can’t wait to get out from under ground and go to work. What do we do to physically and mentally prepare? Are we ready to get going each day, or would we rather stay under the radar and let someone else do the work.

Fourth Part- Gather as Much as you Can- Ants only gather as much as they can and if they find something that is to big to carry they are not afraid to ask for help for the good of the colony. Are you gathering all that you can? Are you willing to ask for help when you need it?

Page 32: Health Entertainment. Question of Life Five frogs were sitting on a log. One decided to jump off. How many frogs were left on the log?

WOW! Ants Are Cool! Ants NEVER give up!

They always look ahead!

They stay positive!

They ask for help!

They work hard and do all they can!

So the next time you come across and ant instead of quickly stepping on it; ask yourself are you working as hard as that ant to have the life that will bring JOY.

DECIDE TO DO and GIVE YOURSELF A PRESENT
