    IN THIS ISSUE:

TESTIMONY by AIM Member Marlene Kelly of Riverdale, Georgia.

Several years ago, my mother was diagnosed with lung

cancer so severe that her doctors were preparing her

for surgery. They had given her a date and were weekly

monitoring her condition to see if there was any change.

The family was on a prayer alert and believing in God for

    a miracle.

Well, my sister and I agree and know firsthand, by hav-

ing experienced many, many healing miracles, about pre-

ventative medicine and what it does to assist the body in

    healing itself.

So when my sister heard about AIM Barley Life and its preventative and heal-ing power, she was convinced and told our

    mother about it.

When you are in a fight for your life,

you have to use whatever means you can to win, my

mother said. She agreed to try it.

Our family chipped in money and immediately sent for

the product. She began drinking the drink three times

daily according to instructions. By the time she returned

to her doctor for another round of x-rays the week

before her scheduled surgery, the spot on her lung had

    disappeared. The surgery was cancelled.

My mother is still healed as of this day and still using

BarleyLife. She is now 97 years young and in her right mind and good health.

BarleyLife affected our family in a powerful way. I am a user, and so are several members of my family. In addi-

tion, I am using AIM Herbal Fiberblend to keep my colon and bowels healthy and AIM LeafGreens and AIM CellStar to boost my immune system. I share my experience and benefits of using

AIM products with as many people

as I can, and I will continue to do

so. I too enjoy excellent health at

75 years of age. I thank God for this

    blessing through AIM products.

    These testimonials

    should not be

    construed as

    representing

    results everybody

    can achieve.

We would love to hear your story about the AIM products or AIM business and how they have impacted the quality of your life. HeART ACHe ANd HeART-BReAk are the only heart terms typi-cally associated with youth. But what about heart disease?

Researchers at the University of Cali-fornia are finding that tickers on teens and twentysomethings are just as sus-ceptible to heart disease risk factors as those from older generations.

The culprit is cholesterol, as abnor-

mal levels of it especially LDL, or bad, cholesterol raise the risk of developing heart disease warning

signs. Research and studies on the topic show that the decisions made

as young adults leave an impact on heart health throughout adulthood. Instead of focusing prevention and education about heart health on an older audience, these findings suggest that a more prudent approach may be to spend some time teaching youngsters the consequences they could be facing down the road.

Prevention and education begins with knowledge of how LDL cholesterol works.

There are two basic kinds of choles-terol: low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). The good kind (HDL) helps protect against heart attacks, while the bad kind (LDL) can cause heart problems. Bad choles-terol builds in the inner walls of arteries,

forming plaque that makes the arteries rigid and narrow. Enough of this plaque can lead to atherosclerosis, which can lead to serious heart issues.

After knowledge comes action. Where could heart-conscious youth turn for a heart-healthy helper? A product like AIM fit n fiber

is formulated for just such a function.

fit n fiber is loaded with soluble fiber, which has been proven to lower LDL cholesterol in the blood. Soluble fiber lines the intestines on its way out of the body and slows the assimilation of bad cholesterol into the body.

Soluble fiber also is a highly effective supplement for an active lifestyle, one typically preferred by youngsters. In ad-dition to protecting against future heart troubles, fit n fiber can also help support exercise, aerobics, and physical activity.

If there is one lesson to take from this heart study it is this: youth are not indestructible. While it may seem like young adults get a free pass from serious disease until adulthood, results say oth-erwise. Early education, proper supple-mentation, and an eye to the future are necessary additions to the leisures of youth.

Healthy baby girl arrives with a little help from AIM products

    Not so young at heart?

TeSTIMONY from Royal emerald director Pat Blasingame, Houston, Texas

My granddaughter Ashley was ex-pecting her third child and was in her 30th week of pregnancy when she start-ed going into labor.

This all started while I was out of the country; the day I ar-rived home she called to let me know she had driven herself to the hos-pital earlier that week with hard labor pains. They gave her medica-tion to stop the contrac-tions, but she was hav-ing severe side effects. She had a major drop in blood pressure, and friends had to take over transporting her two boys to and from school.

My husband and I started repacking and drove to see her the very next morn-ing. There was no way that situation was safe for her and the two boys; her husband was on 24-hour shifts and was almost impossible to get a hold of where he was. By the time we got there, her throat was swelling and she had difficul-ty swallowing. Another medication was tried, and it made her so jittery that she

couldnt be still. She stopped trying to take any medication after that.

I discovered she was also lactat-ing in a major way and that should not be happening until the last part of pregnancy. That indicated to me that she had a major drop in progesterone production. Progesterone levels dou-ble and triple during the first several weeks of pregnancy. To protect the developing baby, progesterone levels during pregnancy rise to as much as 10 to 15 times normal amounts by the third trimester. Progesterone levels dur-ing pregnancy can be 300 mg to 400 mg per day. It is the dominant hormone dur-ing pregnancy and low levels can result in loss of the embryo or premature labor and premature birth.

In order to know how much proges-terone to use, I researched and found that at her stage she should be making the equivalent of one full teaspoon of natural progesterone cream 2-3 times a day. I gave her my jar of AIM Renewed Balance until her order arrived. In just a few days, she was back to normal. She continued with this amount until she was full term. She also took lavender baths to relieve the muscle tension.

At the appointed time, she had a beau-

tiful baby girl, Olivia Grace, who was perfect in every way. The only setback was that she had infant reflux, which would take a couple of months to out-grow; and in the meantime she wasnt keeping much milk down and wasnt gaining weight. So to keep Olivia from becoming malnourished, Ashley began dipping her pacifier in AIM BarleyLife powder and letting the baby suck it off. So even though Olivia was sharing her food with everyone who held her, she was still a healthy, happy baby.

This testimonial should not be construed as representing results everybody can achieve.

A NEW STUDY CLAIMS that men are more likely than women to suffer memory problems in old age. Research shows that men are 1.5 times more likely than women to develop mild cognitive impairment, a condition where memory problems occur to a greater extent than can be explained by aging. This condition may lead to Alzheimers disease.

The study was the first of its kind to notice a gender difference related to mild cognitive impairment. Research was done

EvERYONE WANTS to be wanted with family, with friends, and even with sales. Network marketing thrives with follow up because the customer feels wanted and appreciated and is more likely to keep coming back for business.

With follow up such an obvious tool for salespeople to use, why does it happen so infrequent-ly? Part of the problem might be that many marketers fail to grasp its im-portance. The commonly held belief for why customers quit buying certain products is that the customer is dissatisfied with the product or the company. Not so. A study

    ExerciseBall

performed by the Carnegie Foundation discovered that only 12 percent of cus-tomers quit buying for that reason.

Fifty-five percent of customers quit buying because of company indiffer-ence or no contact.

That number is significant. Can you imagine losing more than half of your downline? Can you live with losing them for a reason as plain as lack of communi-cation?

Follow up matters to your customers and downline. The quality of the AIM products and testimonies from Members can get you in the door; staying there requires consis-

tent effort. When it comes to building an AIM business, follow up is one of

the first factors you should consider. Taking the time to catch up with a customer could make the difference in keeping that loyalty.

There are many ways that Mem-bers have found to follow up on con-tacts. Here are a few:

Over the phone. A phone call is the tried and true way to keep tabs on downline and customers.

By e-mail. Instant, unobtrusive communication via e-mail is fast becoming one of the go-to ways for follow-up. You can create a contact list of e-mails for customers and dowline and forward links to prod-ucts and stories youve found online. Plus, an e-mail follow-up is person-al, yet non-confrontational. Let your customer deal with it on her own time.

Mailings. For big lists of custom-ers, a regular mailing may be the best way to go. Printed material af-fords an opportunity to educate with datasheets or news articles. And cus-tomizing the mailings with a hand-written note adds a special touch.

The most valuable insight you can get on follow up will likely be from someone who has been there and done it before. Get advice from your upline on some of the most ef-fective ways they have found, or flip through past AIM magazines for Member promotion articles filled with information on how they grew their business.

TeSTIMONY by AIM director kristine kosturos of Olympia, Washington:

I suffered with horrible, horrible gas-trointestinal issues my entire life. I found no help through conven-tional medicine. I was diagnosed with irri-table bowel syndrome. I can remember being in the fetal position, in so much pain all the time. I was bloated, I was constipated, but I had no idea how constipated that I re-ally was.

About eight years ago, I was driv-ing and got rear-ended by a fire truck. It sounds worse than it is, but the paramed-ics rushed out, put me in a neck brace, put me in the car, and rushed me to the hospital. Im in this neck brace and the doctor did all these x-rays on me.

He came back and said, Well Chris-tine, I have some good news and I have some bad news. The good news is: youre not paralyzed. Then he showed me this x-ray and said, Do you see all that cloudy area going on in there? You have over three-and-a-half feet of backed up stool in you. And it was clear to me why I had been in so much pain.

My grandmother-in-law has been taking this dirt we call it, for about 25 years. She said to me, Well honey, its time you start taking this dirt now. And I said, Okay, anything. I had tried ev-erything. I had tried laxatives; I was on every constipation pill you could take.

I was on every kind of fiber you could take, and nothing worked.

So I started taking the AIM Herbal Fiberblend, which my family and I call

the dirt, and literally, within eight to 15 days, it cleaned me out in a very, very good way. I lost eight and a half pounds of you-know-what.

I no longer have irri-table bowel syndrome.

Today, Im a nutrition-ist and you can believe that all my clients are on

the dirt Herbal Fiberblend - and the grass AIM BarleyLife.

Accident with a fire truck reveals intestines were full of backed-up stoolHEALTHY PROTEIN RECIPE:

    Chocolate Coconut ProPeas Protein Balls

Shared by Melinda Lewis, AIM Australia and New Zealand General Manager

Just thought Id share this tasty recipe with you. I made these for the staff and they loved them. Walnuts are a terrific brain food that are full of

protein and omega 3 fats. Pumpkin seeds are loaded with healthy mono-unsaturated fats, fiber and minerals that can lower cholesterol. Dates are a great natural sweetener packed full of fiber, potassium, and magnesium for energy metabolism and are combined with AIM ProPeas to boost pro-tein. These are the perfect snack for any time of the day.

Makes: 15 20 balls (depending on size you roll them into)Ingredients:1 cup walnuts cup pumpkin seeds (pepitas) cup good quality cocoa powder (or organic cocoa powder) cup ProPeas powder1 cup fresh pitted dates (about 10)Coconut for rollingIn a food processor, combine walnuts, pumpkin seeds, cocoa and Pro-

Peas. Process until combined and walnuts and pumpkin seeds have bro-ken up. Add the fresh pitted dates and process again so that the mixture starts coming together into a ball. You may need to add a touch of water to get the mixture to this consistency. Roll into balls and then into coconut. Keep refrigerated and enjoy for up to two weeks.

The beauty about these are that they are wheat-free, gluten-free, low carbohydrate, high in protein, vegetarian and vegan-friendly and low sugar.

Fruit and vegetables missing from American diets

What kind of difference does 10 years make? Not a lot when it comes to American eating habits. A government report showed that Americans still dont eat enough fruits and vegetables and consumption rates have remained the same or fallen over the past decade.

In a survey of hundreds of thousands of consumers, about one-fourth of U.S. adults claimed to eat vegetables three or more times a day. One-third of Ameri-cans consumed fruit or fruit juice at least twice a day, down slightly from more than 34 percent in 2000.

Federal goals are for three-quarters of Americans to get an adequate amount of fruit and for one-half of Americans to get enough vegetables. The states with the best returns on consumption rates for fruits and vegetables were California and Tennessee, respectively.
