a range of health hubs are conveniently located throughout

Greater Springfield, most of which provide an array of

affiliated allied health services and are located close to

retail pharmacy facilities.

for example, Brookwater Village is a comprehensive

medical centre with a range of health providers consisting

of a mater pharmacy, mater pathology collection centre,

allied health services, medical imaging, mater specialists

and mylife medical Group. the centre is underpinned by

mater health Services and delivers an integrated health

experience focusing on the patient.

health city Springfield central is the designated central core

of the health and wellness offering in Greater Springfield.

it is a 52 hectare integrated health precinct which aims to

deliver a health and wellness experience for the community

through the provision of quality healthcare, medical education

and research as well as aged and seniors living.

the development of health services within health city has

started with the delivery of mater private hospital Springfield

(mphS). Stage one of mphS provides a range of medical

and surgical services as well as a combination of inpatient,

day and chemotherapy beds supported by $21.4 million in

australian Government funding for a cancer care centre. the

provision of inpatient services will function as a ‘tipping point’

for the range of health related industries to look at Greater

Springfield as the obvious location to grow their business.

aveo Group has also been appointed as the exclusive

developer of up to 2,500 new seniors housing units and other

health and integrated facilities at ‘health city Springfield

central’. the development known as aveo Springfield is

under construction with Stage 1 set to open in 2017.
