KEY LEGISLATION

Plain Writing Act of 2010Requires all federal agencies to improve readability of agency websites, all health related materials, employee training and processes to ensure compliance.

ADDITIONAL LEGISLATION

Access: increased access to health care through the ACA has created a need to address health literacy.

Quality: the ACA and Plain Writing Act will have a positive effect on quality of care
