Summary The Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education is closely monitoring the current coronavirus
(COVID-19) outbreak. We are following the guidance of the Oklahoma State Health Department and Center
for Disease Control. ODCTE will continue to monitor the situation based on the OSHD, CDC, state government,
the federal government, and other sources.
Due to these concerns and directives, our test site locations are closed until each center deems it safe to
reopen. In response to this situation, we are putting in place a temporary option to allow some testing to
occur through online proctoring using ProctorU. We worked with each certification/licensure partner to
determine if this was a viable option. If you do not see certain exams covered in this document, it was
determined that it was not feasible to offer those certification/licensure exams via this method. Several of
those agencies have issued waivers to allow candidates to work until a future date when testing can occur.
We have one set of exams that must receive board approval, so please check back for updates to this
document.
With this option, candidates take exams online while the process ensures the integrity of the exam by using
proctors who monitor exam takers live during the exam by:
1. Authenticating the test taker’s identity by using multi-factor identity verification including taking a
picture of the candidate and the candidate’s government issued license.
2. Observing via a webcam guiding them through the process, providing technical assistance, and
monitoring the test taker throughout the exam
3. Watching the test taker’s screen in real time to see everything the candidate is doing both at the
location and on screen.
