Open your eyes to breast screening...it could save your life

Women aged 50 - 70, registered with GP’s in Brighton, will receive invitation letters and appointments to be screened every three years.Please attend when invited

Please note:The new venue for screeningall women in central Brighton is the Park Centre for Breast Care at 177Preston Road Brighton, BN1 6AG

If you are over 70 and want to be screened contact the Park Centre for Breast Care on 01273 664966 and ask for an appointment.

Cervical screening ….could save your life

Cervical Screening... could save your life...Attend when invited

Cervical Screening saves over 4,500 lives a year.In England 900 women still die of cervical eachyear and many of these women have not had regular screening.

The cervical screening programme isfor all women over 25.

How often do I need to go?Women 25-49 every three years, 50-64 everyfive years

Exposure to the sun

• Don’t burn, wear a hat and t-shirt

• Seek the shade between 11am – 3pm

• Use sun screen SPF 15 or higher

• Drink plenty of water

Lung Cancer

CHECK IT OUT: Know your symptoms and have them checked out by your doctor:

– An unexplained cough for more than 3 weeks– A change in cough you have had for a long time– Being short of breath– Blood in the phlegm– Repeated chest infections– A lasting chest or shoulder pain– Unexplained tiredness– Unexplained weight loss

Some of these symptoms are common and may not be cancer however spotting cancer at an early stage could save your life.
