A little bit about us … Beard was founded on one simple idea – to build ambitious spaces. We’re an award-winning construction company with a commitment to excellence and an ambition to make a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. Our business began life in 1892, since then, we’ve developed our craft to realise any vision. From state-of-the-art auditoriums and sports centres, to meticulous chapel conversions. Over the years we have developed a wide skill set and our combination of traditional building skills and modern construction management techniques, enable us to deliver challenging and award-winning projects. These are often in difficult locations or in constrained conditions, working alongside our customers' own activities. We more than tripled our turnover to £158 million in the last 10 years. We now directly employ around 300 people and we wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for our talented and dedicated people. It's their hard work, commitment to our customers, and passion for what they do which drives our success. We need people who are passionate about what they do; people who can help make us better tomorrow than we are today.
