Acute Healthcare Facilities

Marshall Craft Associates approaches every project

with a LEAN infused design process.

We focus on each department's processes and

customize solutions to help streamline operational

workflow by creating appropriate adjacencies and

limiting waste. We help our clients understand how

their physical environment can allow them to do their

best work and we create opportunities for the design

to minimize staff stress, resulting in a more positive

outcome for the patients.

Outpatient Healthcare Facilities

In a changing regulatory environment, services offered

in an outpatient setting continue to evolve. In

a competitive marketplace, designs must not only

improve the operational efficiency of the providers,

but must be created with the expectations of the

consumer in mind. MCA takes pride in creating

designs that serve multiple clients - both those who

work in a facility and those who come to a facility

for care - while balancing the demands of schedule,

Our team of healthcare designers utilizes proprietary

in-house equipment planning tools and resources,

seamlessly integrating technology

into projects of any size or complexity. Whether it

is integration of robotics into the operating room,

the application of USP 797 guidelines in a sterile

compounding laboratory, or just making sure that

everything is in its proper place, our expertise helps

assure that the architecture supports the multifaceted

Master Planning

MCA's architects are planners and our planners are

architects. In addition to being able to formulate an

appropriate vision to help you realize the goals

of your strategic initiatives, we also understand the

realities and details of how plans get built. Master

plans must incorporate a degree of flexibility that allows

for future expansion, can be implemented in phases

that meet financial realities without compromising

operational efficiencies, and react to changes in the

regulatory landscape.

Behavioral Health

MCA employs architects, interior designers and clinical

planners who are dedicated full time to the design

of healthcare facilities. This is particularly important

in the design of behavioral health facilities where

patient safety is a priority concern. Our

experience and knowledge of appropriate finishes,

fixtures and furnishings result in designs that achieve

a calming aesthetic while still meeting the durability

and safety needs required by this patient population.

Research and Training

MCA works with medical institutions and academic

facilities developing projects that will lead the way

for the next generation of healthcare

delivery. Projects include training facilities for students

and licensed professionals as well as research

facilities developing new medications and therapies.

to more effective delivery models.

Interior Design

MCA's designers understand how the built environment

can have a measurable affect on both patient healing

and staff satisfaction. Using evidence based design principles, MCA incorporates

biophilic design elements and explores ways in which

natural light, artwork, textures, a full color spectrum

and acoustic control can be applied to each project.

All of this is done with an acute awareness of

what products and materials are appropriate for the

unique infection control and durability requirements of

healthcare environments.
