DMV RELOCATION NOTICE The Staterun DMV (known as the Athmar office) located at 1865 W. Mississippi Ave.will relocate to 3265 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood in May 2017. This DMV is a fullserviceoffice that offers: issuance of new driver licenses, instruction permits and identification cards,renewal, motor vehicle driving records, written tests for noncommercial and commercial driverlicenses (CDL) and motorcycle endorsements, driving skills tests, etc. Please note, the relocation of the Athmar office does not impact the new Cityrun DMV at the SWcorner of Monaco and Evans Ave. Services offered here include vehicle titles, registrationrenewals and VIN inspection. MAGAZINE SCAM District 3 Police are warning neighbors of a common scam that involves sellingmagazines and breakins. It starts off with the scammer ringing the doorbell. If answered, thescammer will offer to sell bogus magazine subscriptions. If no one is home, the scammer willattempt to break in. If you choose to not open the door, make it obvious that someone is home(turn on a light, increase the volume on the tv, let the dog out). Remember, if something feelssuspicious, call 911.
POLICE SWITCH FROM NEXTDOOR TO VIRTUAL NEIGHBORHOOD To provide enhanced communication with the community, PoliceDistrict 3 will no longer use Facebook and NextDoor. They havetransitioned to Virtual Neighborhood – a feature of Denver’s PocketGov.Through Virtual Neighborhood, citizens can connect directly with anofficer, receive crime alerts and safety tips and much more. AFFORDABLE HOUSING OWNERSHIP PROGRAM
The Metro Mortgage Assistance Plus Program is a grant program for low and moderateincome individuals and families that seeks to bring the dream of home ownership withinreach by helping with down payment and closing cost assistance.Mortgage Credit Certificate is a tax benefit program that allows borrowers to receive anannual federal income tax credit equal to 25% of the annual interest they pay on theirmortgage loan. This credit is similar to the child tax credit.
