DID YOU KNOW? If we don't recycle,
this is how long our trash
can stay in the environment!
PAPER ......................................................2-5 MONTHS
PLASTIC BOTTLES ............................ 450-1000 YEARS
PLASTIC BAGS ......................................... 10-20 YEARS
ALUMINUM CANS ................................ 80-100 YEARS
PLASTIC 6-PACK HOLDER ...................... 450 YEARS
GLASS BOTTLES ........................... 1 MILLION YEARS
STYROFOAM ............................NEVER (IMMORTAL)
Caring for our environment and conserving natural resources is
important to all of us. Simple things like not littering and recycling
bottles, cans and paper helps to keep our community clean and litter-
free. Using canvas grocery bags reduces the amount of plastics in our
waste stream. Not disposing of oil in our drainage basins helps to
protect our drinking water and local public waterways. What we do
locally helps all of us globally. Together we can make a difference.
Remember to Recycle!
