Help transform our understanding of primary brain cancer. Join a movement of patients and their families, doctors, and scientists by sharing your information and your voice. Together we can develop a comprehensive resource to contribute to research that will inform future therapies. Your information could unlock discoveries The unique information in your cancer holds the key to advances in cancer treatments. By analyzing the DNA in your samples, researchers can make discoveries that will ultimately lead to a better understanding of brain cancer. This information will be invaluable to patients and cancer research for years to come. Become part of the patient-driven research movement and have a direct impact on the future. By saying “Count Me In” you will partner with leading research institutes, hospitals, and patient advocacy groups by sharing your samples and copies of your medical records. Visit BrainCancerProject.org Click “Count Me In” and complete a simple online form to tell us about yourself and your brain cancer diagnosis. Step 2. Give us permission to collect your samples and data You will be directed to an online consent form where you can provide permission for the project to collect your saliva sample and medical record data. You may also opt-in to provide a blood sample and/or share access to a minimally necessary amount of stored tumor samples. We'll send you the saliva and/or blood sample collection kit(s) and contact your doctors and hospitals to securely obtain copies of your medical records and tissue samples. Step 3. Learn with us along the way We are excited to learn with you! The data generated from your samples and medical records will be coupled with that of other patients, de-identified, and shared widely with the biomedical community. We may also ask you additional questions about your experiences to help with future studies. We will provide you with regular updates regarding key discoveries and progress from the project; however, please note that individual data cannot be shared.
