Wireless-foot control MASTERsurg does not respond / no connection
Please review the following points in their order!
1. Establish a connection between foot control and MASTERsurg
2. Replace the batteries of the foot control
3. Please check whether the magnetic pin is present in the foot control
4. Please do not select point 4 until you have checked the options above

Establish a connection between foot control and MASTERsurg
The wireless foot control can be connected in three steps:
1. Touch the symbol to start the connection process
2. Press and hold down the speed button on the wireless foot control for at least 1 second
3. Release the speed button and then press both the left and the right button of the wireless foot control concurrently until the confirmation of connection "Successfully connected to wireless foot control" is displayed. This process can take up to 15 seconds

Replace the batteries of the foot control
▶ Pull the clip out of the wireless foot control
▶ On the other side of the wireless foot control, press down the snap-in lug ①of the speed button ② and take the speed button ② off the wireless foot control
▶ Pull the button bar ① including the pump button, program button, and motor direction button slightly upwards and take it off the wireless foot control
▶ Turn the lid to the left and take it off
▶ Take out 3 alkaline type AA/ LR6 batteries and disposed them properly, if applicable

Magnetic pin recognition of the foot pedal
▶ Pull the clip out of the wireless foot control
▶ On the other side of the wireless foot control, press down the snap-in lug ①of the speed button ② and take the speed button ② off the wireless foot control
You should see a glued magnet on the bottom of the speed button. If this is missing, the foot control must be sent to repair

Return the instruments to repair
Please send us your defective instrument to repair. We cannot provide you loan instruments for the repair period!
• If the instruments are within the specified warranty period of 12 months, according to the warranty conditions indicated by KaVo, please enclose a copy of your invoice
• If the instruments are defective within the specified 12 months after a repair (only in our factory repair), please enclose a copy of the last delivery note

Exchange the KaVo Mini-LED
1. Replacing the KaVo Mini LED• Danger due to hot LED
• Do not touch the LED after it has been used. Let the LED cool down
▶ Pull the retention ring off while twisting slightly▶ Push the old KaVo Mini LED lamp out of the mount with your fingernail and remove it
▶ Insert the new KaVo Mini LED lamp into the recess such that the contact surface corresponds to that of the mount. Slide the lamp into the mount. Place the retention ring on the motor and pull up

Retaining ring (for coolant cable attachment) no longer holds
1. Replace the rubber balls to secure the holder again• New rubber balls can be ordered separately from your specialist dealer, specifying our manufacturer number:
• 1.009.2434 (Ball)
▶ Pull the retention ring off while twisting slightly ▶ Remove the rubber balls with a pair of tweezers and press the new balls in with your finger. Place the holder on the motor and pull it up

O-rings Exchange
1. Exchanging the O-rings• The O-ring SET micro motor can be ordered from your specialist dealer under the specification of our manufacturer number:
• 1.010.7025 (SET-Micro-Motor)
• Press the O-ring between your fingers to form a loop
• Push the O-ring to the front, and remove it
• Insert new O-rings into the grooves and spray them with KaVo Spray

The motor-sign is yellow
Please work of the following points in their order!
1. Switch off the device at the main switch, disconnect the motor cable from the device and restart the device without a connected motor cable (main switch ON). Reinsert the engine cable after the boot process
2. Motor cable defective, please test another motor cable. If you do not have another motor cable, please click „HERE“
3. If another motor cable does not help, please send us your device to repair

Please work of the following points in their order!
1. Please perform the one-touch calibration again with another instrument. If the calibration is successful, please click „HERE“
2. If the calibration continues to fail with an attached instrument, perform a calibration without an attached instrument (motor only). If the calibration still fails, please click „HERE“
3. Please test another motor or send your device to repair

Service-sign (tool sign in green / yellow / red) shows up
• The MASTER- and EXPERTsurg LUX must be subjected to a service check including safety check ("STK") every 2 years • The safety check may only be done by a professional trained by KaVo or in a shop trained by KaVo• Perform the safety check ("STK") as described in the KaVo technician's instructions
The urgency of the service check is indicated on the display by a symbol in ”traffic light colors”
KaVo offers a fixed-price service check for the original factory maintenance. You can use a loaner device for the time of the service check
