Digital Signage technology can dramatically cut down on lost campus-goers with a wayfinding integration. The integration helps visitors and students locate direct routes to desired dorms or lecture hall rooms using interactive technology. They can be updated and customized whenever needed, so students will always know exactly when and where their professors are lecturing. If rooms or events need to be reworked, the changes are reflected in real time, without the need to resubmit blueprints or CAT files. When Towson University, the second largest school in Maryland, opened its 500+ room College of Liberal Arts building, they needed a way to help visitors and students easily navigate the new facility. After sending their CAD files and room locations in a spreadsheet, Industry Weapon provided an interactive Wayfinding integration for all of the digital signage on campus. Students can now look up the directions to a specific classroom, plus locate bathrooms, vending machines and other amenities along the way. Digital signage technology is advanced enough to feed campaigns into desired schedules and locations. Content that is location specific not only makes sense, but is also the most effective way to communicate. No need to lose interest by displaying the café prices in the library, or registrar communications in the gymnasium.
