Zhang has started building the retail network in China because the fast growth for luxury watches in the China market.

He developed Hengdeli Holdings Limited into the largest retailer of Swiss watches in the world with 378 retail outlets in the Greater China region covering Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau.

Hengdeli was the largest customer globally for Swatch Group, the largest watch manufacturer in the world and the largest customer for the other three big Swiss watch manufacturers in the Greater China region. Swatch group and LVMH Group were also investors in Hengdeli, with a 09.50% stake and a 06.32% stake respectively.
