Oslo

Oslo (Norwegian: Oslo) is the capital of Norway. Located in the southern part of the country and is the largest city, with a population of 590,041 inhabitants. Along with the neighboring urban area, the city has a total population of 1,403,268 inhabitants. The geographic boundaries of the county and the municipality of Oslo is common, 22 km ². Between 1624 and 1924 was called Christiania and Kristiania (Christiania).

HENRIK IBSEN• The Henrik Ibsen (norv. Henrik Ibsen, 20 Μαρτίου 1828-1823 Μαΐου 1906)

was a Norwegian poet and dramatic author, one of the pioneers of modern European drama. [1] [2] Second child of a wealthy family in the installed port Skien, the Ibsen lived, after the bankruptcy of the parent company and move his family to neighboring Vernstpop, difficult childhood and teenage years.

• Soon he moved to Bergen where he spends the next few years working at Det norske Theater, where he had increased responsibilities and participated in the production of 145 works as a writer , director, dramatist and producer. During this period the theater bound contractually , to write a work for the year coming up in this theater . In 1858 he returned to Christiania and is the artistic director of the Theatre of Christians , while dealing with the painting . The same year he marries the Suzannah Thoresen, which will become mother and son Sigurd (1859). His wife will support him emotionally and will strengthen him on his career , persuading him to devote himself exclusively to stagecraft . The couple lived in difficult financial situations and gradually Ibsen became very disillusioned with life in Norway . In 1864 , abandoning the Christian and goes to Sorrento , Italy. Originally headed for a year , but it does 27 years to return home , working mainly in southern Italy and Germany . There, Ibsen made worthy now as an artist and eventually returns to his homeland in 1895 , where he wrote the last two works. Then , could be back on track financially , buying a very expensive house opposite the palace of Oslo, which has now been converted into a museum and receives many visitors daily . The Ibsen had a controversial relationship with wealth, something demonstrated by the decoration of this house , which is kept fully up to date. He also used to take daily walks , but did not seek contact with the public ( was introverted ) and interested in the study of human reactions and behaviors . Maintained friendly relations and frequent correspondence with several young girls , never shown any trace of disbelief in them. Drank almost daily beer in the known haunt of the city of Oslo "Grand Cafe", the luxury hotel "Grand Hotel". The last three years of his life he suffered from serious health problems , having suffered successive strokes and was unable to create anymore .
