DELIVERY AND YOU-HAUL DISCOUNT:A total discount of $100 per buyer will be given to any buyer that hauls his or her bull home directly from the sale on March 22, 2014. SALE HEALTH INFORMATION:All cattle selling in this sale are inspected by a licensed veter-inarian and will have current health certificates for immediate shipment. They have been tested free for Trich and Johne’s.

HERD HEALTH:Cows and Herd Bulls: Annual vaccination for IBR, PI3, BVD 1 and 2, Vibrio and the five most common strains of Lepto, Blackleg and Clostridial A. We pour both in the fall and spring. We herd test for Johne’s annually. RETAINED INTEREST:Unless otherwise stated in the sale book, Herbster Angus Farms will retain 1/3 revenue sharing interest on every bull sold, and the buyer gets full salvage value and full possession.We guarantee that all of the bulls selling in the 2014 Herbster Angus Farms are fertile and sell with a positive semen check on the day of the sale. If any bull is injured during the first breeding season following the sale, making him functionally in-fertile, we will provide you with a satisfactory replacement (if available), or issue you a credit to be used either privately or during the bull sale in 2015 that is equal to the bull’s purchase price minus the salvage value received for that bull. Herbster Republic is an exciting SAV Revere son out of our favorite “004” daughter, SAV May 8195. “8195” is a production powerhouse, possessing 4BW@98, 4WR@108, 2YW@108 and 3REA@106. She is a full sister to the Buford Ranch herd sire, MF Net Return 8196. Republic is rugged, big footed and sound with an excellent set of “curve bender” EPDs. Another 18-month-old bull, the lot 13 bull is a perfect representation of what Harvestor can add to any Angus cow. He is everything we thought the Harvestor calves would be, stamped with breed character and built right from the ground up. His mother, HF Lucy 330, has been one of Ed’s favorite cows and has earned 7WR@107. Recommended for cows only.

SAV Ringmaster 1187 - Sire of Lots 16-19

SAV Ringmaster was the $300,000 highest selling and #1 yearling weight bull of the 2012 Schaff Angus Valley Sale. He earned an impressive 205 day weight of 986 to ratio 113 that put him in the top four indexing bulls in the 2011 SAV calf crop. His Emblynette dam is a heavy-milking, top-producing cow with a WR of 112 on her last four calves. SAV Ringmaster will advance performance and maternal levels in any program.

Lot 16 was the highest actual weaning weight calf of our 2013 calf crop at 998#. He also possesses the highest weaning weight EPD, the 2nd highest yearling weight EPD, and the 3rd highest $B EPD in the offering at +99.37. It has been a true pleasure to have HF Extra K205 115 in our program. His calves come easy at birth and grow, grow, grow! “115” has seen a lot of use in our virgin heifer program, and has proven himself to be a worthy adversary to the bigger growth numbered bulls, posting weaning weights that rival theirs. He is backed by the legacy of maternal producing genetics, being out of a sister to the famous Madame Pride 8264. These are “ground floor” genetics on a great maternal line. His sons sell as lots 26-28. Recommended gladly for heifers. Lot 25 is a carrier for DD.

This bull calf has shown great promise. He had an actual birth weight of 69 pounds to excel to an impressive actual weaning weight of 739 pounds to ratio 115. Herbster Angus Farms Females

Females at Herbster Angus Farms are genetically and phenotypically selected for udder structure, calving ease, fleshing ability, longevity, milking ability and growth. The donor females in our program contribute many of the genes that will be encompassed in the cattle that will sell as Angus-based replacements in this sale. They are the right kind of females to add profitability to your operation.

We will be selling approximately 40 head of Angus females either with calves at side or bred to calve to Registered Angus Bulls. Most calves will be AI sired. A complete listing of the cows and cows with calves that will sell on March 22nd will be available at the sale and on our web page. All females sell as “unregistered.” Registration papers will be available upon request for a $100 per head fee.
