Window and door openings are pre-

fabricated at the plant according to plans. No field cutting or forming

necessary. This means that the openings will be accurate and

square, which will facilitate a fast and quality window and door instal-

lation.

Lightweight panels can be set, braced, and pumped with concrete

within hours.

HercuWall® is a panelized concrete composite wall framing sys-

tem designed and engineered to replace concrete block con-

struction in new residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

The initial function of the HercuWall® panels is to serve as the

forming system for the concrete core; the permanent function is

to serve as thermal and acoustical insulation.

HercuWall® is delivered to the job site as a kit of num-

bered panels, pre-engineered, precut and manufac-

tured specifically to the plans for each project, ready for

installation without modification to original design.

HercuWall® is easily installed by an already

available labor force in the construction industry,

using basic construction tools. Training is mini-

mal, so there is no need for specialized contrac-

tors with specialized tools or heavy equipment.

Rather than one block at a time, it’s one panel at

a time.

A crew of four laborers can install the Hercu-

Wall® panels and pour the concrete for an aver-

age 2,000 sq./ft. house in approximately six

hours—“...a 200% improvement utilizing

HercuWall® over block...”

HercuWall® will substantially reduce the con-

struction cycle time in any project.

INSTALLATION EFFICIENCY

ENERGY EFFICIENCY STRUCTURAL EFFICIENCY

Miami Dade County HVHZ (high velocity hurri-

cane zone) acceptance is generally consid-

ered the most rigorous of all product testing

and approvals in the building materials realm.

HercuWall® has obtained the Miami

Dade County, Florida, NOA No. 12-

0607.03. Expiration date: November

8, 2017 and Florida Product Approval.

This was accomplished using 90% less rebar

reinforcement and 60% less concrete.

When combined with proper attic insulation, win-

dows, and HVAC equipment, HercuWall’s® R-33

Insulation Value can help reduce energy

costs from 40% to 70%. By reducing energy

consumption and extending the life cycle of a Hercu-

Wall® house, HercuWall is contributing to the ef-

fort of reducing the global carbon foot print.

Buildings account for around 40% of final energy

used globally. Of this, approximately 90% is the ener-

gy used during their lifespan from operation. Only

10% accounts for materials manufacturing, transpor-

tation, the actual construction and dismantling.

ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY Less concrete, less rebar, less labor,

less time to install, no material waste,

and smaller HVAC units (by as much

as 50%) can only mean one thing—

HercuWall® is more economi-

cal, and this is just at the construction

stage.

The economic benefits of HercuWall®

will last throughout the life span of the

building.

INNOVATION

HercuWall® is a “Disruptive Innovation” that enables reinforced concrete con-

struction without costly conventional steel rebar reinforcing.

Shear Strip™ is HercuWall’s proprietary patented technology that allows reinforced concrete

construction without conventional steel rebar reinforcing. This is accomplished by creating a

structural composite relationship between the concrete and the steel ShearStrips™, which are

integral to the system. ShearStrips™ also provide mounting points for drywall, cabinets, stucco,

and siding products. In conventional reinforced concrete construction, tension (pulling) forces

are counteracted by the steel rebar imbedded within the concrete.

With HercuWall® the tension forces are counteracted by the Shear-

Strips™ which are partially embedded in the concrete. ShearStrips™

are external to the concrete, and work with greater efficiency and lev-

erage than conventional reinforcing. ShearStrips® yield higher

strength with less concrete and more space for insulation.

HercuWall® is a Post and Beam system. This means that the walls are not

solid concrete, but rather, a series of columns with a bond beam on top and a

base beam at the bottom of the wall throughout the perimeter of the building.

The walls are designed to meet the structural requirements of each project.

This also means that because there is a foam space between the columns,

the R-Value is much higher than most wall systems (R-33).

“…HercuWall is manufactured in accordance with the design, the architect

does not have to design in accordance with HercuWall…”

NOTE: The information provided in this catalog is for general information about HercuWall® products, and is subject to change without notice for

updates and improvements. HercuWall® does not accept responsibility for improper use of this information.

HercuWall® uses galvanized steel in several

areas of the kit. Some of these components

are structural, others help with the ease of in-

stallation, and others are fastening points for

finishes or other items related to the building

cycle. All steel used by HercuWall® is 24

gauge, G90 galvanized steel and complies

with ASTM A36 steel standard or better.

HercuWall® uses type II eps (expanded polysty-

rene) for most of the foam parts of the kit. Type IX

eps may also be used in special conditions as de-

termined by the design of the structure.
