Safer, Happier, Engaged ‘Happier Employees’ has always been a major part of our service offer, we want employees to feel safe, look good and be fully engaged with their organisation, as a result of the uniforms they wear and

the PPE they are provided with.

Safety as a way of making employees happier has never been more critical than it is now. We have used the contacts that we have built over 20 years to bring you a comprehensive range of products to meet the new demands placed on you. Our goal however remains the same as it always has been, happy employees that feel safe and look good, as they Get ready for work.

Why wash your hands? In the strictest sense of the word, viruses aren’t technically alive. They need to invade hosts such as a human cell to manufacture themselves. They are however hardy enough to remain active outside of a host - on the surfaces we touch. Studies are still being completed to determine exactly how long COVID-19 can live on a surface, though some studies on similar viruses, SARS and MERS, have suggested the virus can live on metal, glass and plastic for up to 9 days unless they are properly disinfected (28 days in the right temperature). The other fact to note is: researchers estimate we touch our face on average upwards of 20 times an hour - our blog on Sticking to the Facts tells you more.

We have a wide range of hand sanitisers and hand washes. They are certified for their efficacy and come in sizes ranging for 60ml to 5L. Both alcohol-based and (equally effective but kinder to the hands) ‘non-alcohol’ based hand gels are held in stock.

SANITISER STATIONSAwareness, Engaged StaffThere are a number of good reasons to install Sanitiser Stations throughout the workplace. As well as ensuring business continuity, it acts as a timely reminder to staff, shows you have made an appropriate risk assessment and perhaps more importantly, shows staff that you care about their health and safety. We offer mobile stations, large hand sanitisation stations and small wall mounted hand sanitisation stations. The stations give clear instructions to employees on best practices. 5L sanitising gel can be purchased from us seperately. Design these with your company’s details for added impact!

ACCESS CONTROL SANITISERS

Need a way to ensure compliance? In some circumstances you may need to restrict access to make sure that hands are sanitised. We have a unit that ensures hands are washed before door access is granted. This system offers easy to follow guidance and a fast operational speed – up to 30 employees per minute can be admitted. This is an ideal virus mitigation solution for factories, logistical hubs, receptions and restricted areas where following safety procedure is paramount. See our video of how it works.

Here to guide youWe are here to guide you through the specific virus mitigation supply needs, that you might wish to consider for your employees. We can help you determine quantities and the level of protection.

MASKS

Confused by thechoices? The suitability of masks does need to be based on a full risk assessment, but we will try to give some guidance and links to official advice. FFP1 masks are made of a fabric designed to filter air or impurities. FFP2 is the next level up - it is widely accepted by industry that the N95 is comparable to an FFP2. FFP2 is the European equivalent of the N95 respirator mask used in US, which meets the guidance given by the World Health Organisation (WHO). You may come across other Standards - the HSE confirm the filtration performance of the filter material is very similar between FFP2 masks (European standard) N95 masks (American), 1st Class masks (Korean), masks KN95 (Chinese), DS2 masks (Japanese) and P2 masks (Australian). The highest level of protection is FFP3,

GLOVESGloves are highly recommended as part of any Virus Mitigation Plan.It is however important not to simply consider getting hold of suitable gloves, but also making sure they fit correctly and that they are removed correctly. For correct sizing, we recommend this chart and for explaining the correct way to remove gloves these instructions will help.

this is recommended for virus protection control in the NHS. You may even have simple questions about disposable or re-usable - we supply both. Depending on the mask, you can anticipate a reusable anti-bacterial fabric can be washed 30-40 times. We strongly recommend 3 per person (on face, in wash and ready to use).

THERMOMETERS

Employee Fever DetectionWhen it comes to thermometers, there are also considerations you may wish to make. We have been promoting both non-medical grade and medical grade thermometers. For example: our non-medical Hygiplas thermometer is used in the food industry and is a fast and contactless measurement solution, with a temperature range of 50° to +400°C, it can provide a good indication of a fever. While our medical grade thermometer has a measuring range for the human body of 32.0°C~42.9°C and has an accuracy ±0.2°C. It has a fever warning beeper and can store up to 10 readings.

You may not be looking to introduce Social Distancing Screens into your business but there are other ways to show staff and customers just how much your care about their wellbeing. Distancing Tape and Posters are just a couple of ways, in fact the Government recommends posters in their advice to employers on Covid-19. Another way is to provide products like Anti-Bacterial Wipes throughout your premises. Wisdom has it that the average desk, chair and computer mouse harbours 21,000 germs per 2.5cm². We can also help with sanitisation products.
