Over the 6 last months, Diesel Direct has acquired hundreds of mobile fueling customers from New York based HOP Energy. These new customers are located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and now most recently in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, & Delaware. We want to welcome our new customers to the Diesel Direct family!

Our growth is increasing our accessibility to some new territories and will enable our current customers with additional sites in these newer areas to consider adding our services to those locations. Another benefit to our expansion is the number of new services & products we are able to offer, such as marine fuel, a newly designed customer portal, and top grade skid tanks.

Our core company foundation is built on servicing each customer’s needs efficiently & thoroughly, one gallon at a time. Much of our growth is due to our strong commitment to our customers and as we reach new heights, we promise to stay true to our roots!

Here is a maintenance tip that DIESEL DIRECT uses that may work for you!

It’s important to always keep your air pressure at the right amount. If it’s too high or too low, it can cause poor mpg, uneven tire use, and in extreme cases, a tire blow out.

This is why we recommend checking your tires at least on a monthly basis. When you measure the pressure, remember to make sure the tires haven’t been driven in a while. If the air inside is hot from driving, it expands and won’t give you an accurate reading until it cools down.

Most of us welcome the warmer weather, but when thinking

about fuel tanks, the warm spring air can actually bring

something damaging to your vehicles that lurks in the depths

of your tanks: microbial growth.

Microbial growth consists of microscopic organisms (or

“bugs”) that feed on fuel and live in water. With the

addition of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (USLD) and biodiesel,

microbial growth has become a more frequent problem.

Even if you don’t use pure biodiesel fuel, most diesel fuel

purchased today can have between 2% and 5% biofuel. The

blending of the biofuel into diesel fuel is part of the

renewable fuel mandate and consequently, whether you

want it or not, biodiesel is probably present in your supply

chain.

present in a generator. When fuel sits for long periods of

time, the risk of microbial growth increases.

These are the signs that you have an infestation of

microscopic organisms in your fuel tank:

Plugged filters and fuel lines

Rotten egg or foul smell of fuel

Injector issues

Community Involvement Being able to support genuinely worthwhile causes and giving back to the community is a priority for the Diesel Direct team. One of these organizations that Diesel Direct is committed to is a Boston based foundation called The Home for Little Wanderers. The Home provides programs and services for children in need including adoption, foster care, residential care, and clinical support. In their own words, “We never give up on children. And we don’t let children give up on themselves.” Last May, Diesel Direct helped sponsor the annual Voices & Visions fundraiser event organized at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. Children from The Home created thoughtful works of art that were exhibited at the event alongside works from recognized artists.

Top Grade Steel Tanks for Fuel Storage

We provide double-wall steel tanks for fuel storage purposes. These tanks

start at a capacity of 500 gallons of fuel and feature a pump, hose, &

mechanical meter. They are an ideal option for many of our customers

requiring additional fuel in-between our regularly scheduled refueling

visits. The tanks are also a useful option for our customers with smaller

fleets needing fuel less frequently; for example, a skid tank can improve

efficiency by cutting down on the days of fueling service.

We also offer optional add-on features that can be integrated onto our

tanks including our tank monitoring system as well as our BARLOC® fleet

technology. The tank monitoring system provides an easy & automatic

monitoring of fuel levels to maximize savings and BARLOC provides

security and efficiency through a barcode system that enables only
