Here’s Everything Apple announced at WWDC 2016 in under 2 minutes

Apple kicks off its Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco with an opening keynote on Monday, June 13. The company gave detailed insights about the latest updates as well as additions about four operating systems: watchOS, iOS, tvOS, and OS X

Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook took to the stage and kick off its hugely-anticipated WWDC developer conference by introducing calling it “the mother of all releases." 2016’s keynote from WWDC is a jam-packed wrap, but if you didn’t get a chance to attend or if you missed its webinar, here’s a recap of the most significant bits you need to know. Tim Cook starts the conference with an emotional plea, he said about Apple; "We celebrate our diversity,” "We know that it makes us stronger and moves everyone forward." Cook started the key note by speaking about the shooting in Orlando, Florida and then led the room in a moment of silence honoring the victims.

watchOS

The OS that powers the Apple Watch will be better organized, faster and will be better prepared for emergencies

Apple is making its watch seven times faster, as per the vice president of technology Kevin Lynch

Keynote to iOS 10, and its new features:

Lock screen

Apple’s next move to save you from a click. A new feature called “raise to wake” will automatically show a preview of the lock screen.

The lock screen’s user interface is has a few tweaks. Swipe right will lead users to the camera. Swiping from the left will show them their widgets.

There’s also a new control center for music. With 3D touch, as the people apply pressure to the display so, Apple is making 3D touch

a preview based notification directly from the lock screen.

Siri

You will be able to use Siri to compose messages such as We Chat and send money via PayPal.

Apple is also boosting the power of Siri to its keyboard. “Quick type” will support multiple languages.

Computer vision

Photos - facial, object, and scene recognition are coming Just similar to the Google Photos, Apple users will be able to create photo stories

Apple Maps

Apple Maps - commute times, next calendar event along with restaurant suggestions Apple Maps will have extensions to book a ride with Uber and pay for it using Apple Pay

Home
