Fun Rafting.Martha Ramsey, a lovely little Tennessee

sweetheart, stole the hearts of twelve youngboys in February. Her (wo weeks at theHome made things light and bright, and before a day or two had passed, she becamethe i{loI of the household. Martha and theboys swapped choruscs in Bible class andshared the fruit of the Tamarind tree. Inevery way the boys enjoyed the visit of thc-rlittle friend.

On the last day before going back to theSlates, we asked Martha to choose a boywhom she would like to have spend a day inthe country with her. Martha chose Andy.

In the picture above, you can see themriding on a bamboo raft down the Rio GrandrHiver. During the four hours on tlie rivertrip, Martha and Andy fished, swam, and hada lovely picnic lunch. It wa.s great fun ridingover the rapids and through jungle-like{onntry. Andy clainied that he almost caughtseveral large fish, and Martha proudlyshowed her tropical sunburn. Botl childrenenjoyed their trip.

We wish that all you buys and girls couldct)me to Jamaica as Martha did, and visitwith our boys.

Gifts in the MailboxFriends among our American boys and

girls have been faithfully helping the Homefor a long time. We appreciate your helpduring January and February.

DONNIE AND PHILLIPSmiles at the Jamaica Christian Boys

Home come from plenty of food, clean andwholesome living, carefree play, and peaceful sleep. Donnie and Phillip found theihappiness when in desperation their fatherturned to us. In extending a helpinghand, w found our own happiness in twowonderful little boys.

The boys have learned in a very preciousway to accept each other as real brothers, and we are now a happy family of 16.Another double bunk bed has been addedin the "big" boys room, and four moreshoes are in th-e Saturday night line up forshining.

URGENT NEEDDo you know what it means to have an

addition to the family? There is usuallya bit of financial anxiety along with tlusweet little bundle that arrives to cheerthe home.

Then you can also understand what itmust mean to have an addition of twogood sized fellows with huge app'etites suddenly take their place in the family circle. Our boys are usually taken as a result ofvery urgent and desperate need. Thereis sometimes no opportunity for planning,^uch is the case of Donnie and Phillip, and as yet there is no added provision forthem.

Eight pounds, ten shillings or twenty-fividollars a month will support a boy.

PLEASE PRAY THAT GOD WILL MEETTHEIR NEED.

CHAPEL ROOF ONLocated on a beautifully shaded spot in

the east side of the Boys' Home yard, theChapel building now stands erect andnicely covered with her Canadian shingledroof.

The still gray cement walls remind usthat the job is not yet finished but thatGod has certainly blessed in helping us toreach thus far toward our goal. The tilesfor the floor are ready to lay and onlyawait the completion of the window .iams.

We are hoping that extra Christmas offerings will enable us to complete thf^building early in the year. We are makingmemorial wmdows in the Chapel. Eachwindow costs $40.00 and will have thedonor's name engraved. Please rememberour building programme in your prayers.

ANNUAL MEETINGMr. Odel Fleming, Chief Probation Offi

cer of Jamaica, was guest speaker for thefourth annual meeting of the Home on October 7th. His message dealing withworkshops for human lives, was most appropriate as we face another year with ourgrowing boys.

After the boys sang group songs for th/^Home Members, Chairman Levy called forreports which were given as follows: Management Committee, Mr. A. Lionel Levy,Volunteer Commitee, Mrs. Gwen Carring-ton, and Financial. Mr. Howard Bolton.

SECOND CAMP SUCCESSFULEast side, west side, from all around Ja

maica came campers for our second campheld at Grior Park, St. Ann. It was a glorious month with sessions for hoys, girls, and for our own family.

Enrolment increased to over sixty and.dormitory space was enlarged with movingthe dining room downstairs. Added experience, improved cquipm-snt, excellentweather, and eflici-ent councillors all work,ed together toward making Gr er ParkChristian Camp a great success for all.

Christian teaching was the foundation foigood sportsmanship in games, for clean li^ ing, and for guideposts in young lives. Inth-c months that have passed since camp.many parents have come to tell us howcamp has helped their child.

We are grateful to Alumina Jamaica formaking the camp site possible and to allwho ]enl a helping hand. Volunteer Councillors for camp were Mr. and Mrs. PercySerrant, Mr. and Mrs. John Carringtori.Miss E. McDermot, Mr. C. Mullings, andMr. L. Morris. We are also grateful to Mr.Joe Ziadie for lending us the beds forcamp again this year.

Eight of our own boys spent the entiremonth at camp and were reluctant to partwith their new friends and with the beautiful hills of St. Ann. '"Brother Guy" andDaddy and Mommy were sorry to leara^too!
