EDUCATION: A secondary school diploma or PSC approved alternatives or acceptable combination of education, training and experience in a field related to the position. EXPERIENCE: In dealing with the public In the delivery of front line communication services LANGUAGE: Proficiency in the use of French and English (Bilingual Imperative). To be considered for Bilingual positions, candidates must be able to: sustain an informal conversation on concrete topics, able to paraphrase when lacking in exact vocabulary, speak with some spontaneity, have concrete vocabulary for less routine work-related topics, can situate facts and events in time (i.e. has good mastery of simple verb tenses), can link sentences together into longer passages, have few difficulties understanding the assessor and can be understood by most people but repetition may sometimes be required. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Security Screening: Obtain and maintain Reliability Status Willingness to work shift work, and/or statutory holidays; Willingness to wear a Parks Canada Uniform and/or period costume.
