The Accommodation can provide care for up to 82 residents within our 63 en suite rooms and enjoys a truly homely atmosphere. Most rooms are single occupancy. We are able to care for people with all levels of dependency with our range of profile beds, moving aids and fully assisted bathing equipment. The Home has several communal areas including three large lounges, one of which extends out into the conservatory, which opens onto a garden and patio area enjoyed by Residents and families during good weather.

Gold Standards Framework (GSF) All of our care homes are dedicated to achieving the highly regarded Gold Standards Framework with several achieving full accreditation and others within the programme working towards accreditation. The Gold Standards Framework provides quality end of life care for our residents.

Herons Park is located in a quiet parkland in Kidderminster. The home provides its residents with a comfortable and safe living environment coupled with dedicated professional nursing care. All efforts are made to ensure that residents experience a good quality of life.

The Care Home provides nursing and dementia care for the elderly, and has a reputation for outstanding levels of personal care and attention, fostered by the experience of the Registered Manager, Head of Departments and the rest of our dedicated staff. Working in close cooperation with GPs and other local healthcare teams, every effort is made to provide a home for life, in a comfortable and friendly surrounding.

Our Dedicated Dementia Unit was created in 2011 and was designed following expert advice and guidelines from the Dementia Services Development Centre at the University of Stirling. The unit gained full Gold Accreditation award for design from the DSDC on opening and remains ‘Highly Commended’.

What We Can OfferThe Amenities of the house include services such as hairdressing, chiropody and physiotherapy. Personal laundry is included in the weekly fees. Each room is equipped with a modern ‘Nurse-Call’ terminal.

Herons Park is happy to accommodate both long and short stay clients of all age groups in the following categories: Convalescent, Post-Operative, Medical, Geriatric, Terminal and Dementia. We have close links with the MacMillan Nurses and the local General Practitioners, Hospitals and Social Services Care Managers.

Clients are welcome to bring their personal own effects subject to space limitations.

Visitors are most welcome at all reasonable hours

LifestyleResidents are encouraged, wherever possible, to live their lives independently. We promote a good quality of life for all our Residents and help them to remain active for as long as possible and participate in as many activities as they are able to manage, subject to their own limitations. We welcome both long and short stay, including respite, residents, whether privately funded, assisted by Social Services or the NHS. We also cater for any special dietary requirements.
