were supposed t o

be

But

how were

we

t o know

what

would happen n e x t .

We

put our

house

on

t h e

mark et an d

s o l d it

w i t h i n two w e e k s . One w e e k later t h e d e a l

h a d

f a l l e n

through. We t h e n went

through severa.1

months o f an

i n c r e d i b l y

slow

market . I n t h e

f a l l

we

s o l d t h e house f o r a second t i m e .

We

waited

f o r a

couple weeks j u s t t o

make

s u r e

there were no problems.

We were having problems

f i n d i n g

a house

i n

Dayton, s o

we

d e c i d e d t o g e t

a 6 month lease on an apartment and j u s t keep our eyes open. We had everjdihing

arranged

and ready

to go.

Two days before

the

scheduled clos ing,

the

family

two

houses

back l o s t

t h e i r

f inancing

and

we

had

a

domino e f f e c t .

By

t h i s t ime

we

had

f igured

out t h a t

God

was

probably t r y i n g

t o

t e l l us

something.

Since

we had a l l t h i s space avai lable, we

decided

to l e t some missionaries l i v e with

us

f o r a

while.

Now

t h i s has

been an

experience As many

of

you know, any a dd iti o n t o a

househo ld can be

a

r e a l (?hange. But adding two a d u l t s and

a

two

year

o l d

i s

a

b i t

o f

a

challenge. Especially when you consider the idea tha t the two year o l d s vocabulary i s a

s t r a n g e

mixture o f E n g l i s h

I t a l i a n .
