HESY Aquaculture BV is specialized in designing and building of fishfarms. The fishfarms, built worldwide by HESY since 1984, are based on filtering and circulating fresh water as well as salt water. Almost all species can be farmed in this system; fresh water and salt water species.

The fish farms HESY constructs can invoke a long reference list. HESY has 15 qualified technicians who are employed in projects in The Netherlands and abroad. In addition HESY only works with approved suppliers. With a highly experienced and specialized team, we guarantee service, support, quality and productivity of the systems.

HESY Aquaculture BV is gespecialiseerd in het ontwerpen en bouwen van viskweeksystemen. De kwekerijen, die wereldwijd sinds 1984 door HESY worden geconstrueerd, zijn gebaseerd op het zuiveren en circuleren van zowel zoet als zout water. Vrijwel alle vissoorten kunnen in het systeem worden gekweekt; zoetwater en zoutwater soorten.

De viskwekerijen die HESY construeert kunnen zich beroepen op een lange referentielijst. HESY beschikt over 15 gekwalificeerde technici die worden ingezet tijdens projecten in binnen- en buitenland. Daarnaast wordt er uitsluitend gewerkt met erkende leveranciers die HESY ondersteunen in de fabricage van de kwekerijen. Met een zeer ervaren en specialistisch team garanderen we service, support, kwaliteit en productiviteit van de systemen.

Why Recirculation fish farms?

In a closed recirculation system is a high fish production of high quality in a relatively small area possible. In addition, the constant produc-tion and supply of fish throughout the year.

A recirculation system is not dependent on location, climate and environment. Another advantage is that there is less need for fresh water. Instead of a few hundred cubic meters per kilo of produced fish in a flow through system, needs a recirculation system only 50 to 300 liters fresh water per kilogram produced fish.

Compared with a controlled open system a Recirculated Aquaculture System saves on the heating and cooling costs by the use of mechani-cal and biological filters and by recirculating the water.

The feed conversion in a RAS is significantly lower than in an open system. The fish grows faster and there is less fish feed needed to get to the final weight. This is achieved by the use of controlled feeding techniques and high quality fish feed and clean culture water.

Before the start of a HESY project

HESY design and build not only the farming systems, but also provides a large number of additional issues. In the initial phase HESY will deliver a design which can be used for applying for grants, permits and financing.

Other essential information, such as a liquidity calculation, the food supply, technical drawings, process diagrams with explanations , etc. are provided by HESY. Obtaining this information is important for good cooperation and the success of the new company.

Wat gebeurt er met het afvalwater?

Een HESY RAS viskwekerij is niet milieubelastend. Het systeem bestaat voor 99% uit hergebruikt water door recirculatie. Het kleine deel afvalwater is zo behandeld dat het niet schadelijk is voor het milieu. Het van het slib afgescheiden afvalwater kan daarom eenvoudig op het riool of openwater geloosd worden. Overgebleven slib kan gebruikt worden voor bemesting.

What happens with the waste water?

A HESY RAS is environmentally friendly. The system consist 99% re-used water caused by recirculation. The small part of waste water is treated so that it does not harm the environment. The treated water can therefore easily be sent to a water discharge connection or to open water. Remaining sludge can be used for fertilization.

Waarom Recirculatie Viskwekerijen?

In een gesloten recirculatiesysteem is een hoge visproductie van hoge kwaliteit mogelijk, in een relatief klein gebied. Daarnaast levert het een constante productie en levering van vis op gedurende het hele jaar.

Een recirculatiesysteem is niet afhankelijk van locatie, klimaat en milieu. Een ander argument is waterbesparing; in plaats van een paar honderd m³ per kilo geproduceerde vis in een doorstroomsysteem te gebruiken, heeft een recirculatiesysteem slechts 50 tot 300 liter nieuw water per kilo geproduceerde vis nodig.

In vergelijking met een gecontroleerd open systeem bespaart een Recirculatie Aquaculture Systeem (RAS) op kosten voor verwarming en koeling door de mechanische en biologische filters en het opnieuw circuleren van het water.

De voederconversie in een RAS is beduidend lager dan in een open systeem. De vis groeit sneller en er is minder voer nodig om het eindge-wicht te behalen. Dit wordt bereikt door het gebruik van gecontroleerde voedertechnieken en een hoge voedselkwaliteit in biologisch, schoon kweekwater.

Voorafgaand aan een HESY project

HESY ontwerpt en bouwt niet alleen de viskweeksystemen, maar verzorgt ook een flink aantal bijkomende zaken. Zo wordt er in de startfase een ontwerp vervaardigd dat gebruikt kan worden voor het aanvragen van subsidies, vergunningen en financieringen.

Ook andere essentiële informatie, zoals een liquiditeitberekening, de voederlevering, de technische tekeningen, de processchema’s met verklaringen et cetera, worden geleverd door HESY. Het verkrijgen van deze informatie is belangrijk voor een goede samenwerking én voor het succes van het nieuwe bedrijf.
