This makerspace in southeast Portland is a base for learning and collaborating on outdoor gear in a supportive and cooperative environment. The space is dynamic, lively, and buzzing with excitement, each member or visitor preparing for their next big ad-venture. To foster this kind of community the space needs to be open, with enough room for printing, sewing, and table space, but in close enough quar-ters to force interaction and encourage collabora-tion.
