Jonathan Hewett 1 st Round Sponsorship Opportunity – 2018 OBJECTIVE: Achieve status on the PGA Canadian Tour. My Game After graduating from DePaul University in the summer of 2017, I moved to St. Petersburg to begin my professional career. I spent the period from August to October working on my game without a coach. However, this proved unsuccessful, so back in November of 2017 I started working with John Elliott, based at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club. I will be seeing him twice a month as long as my schedule permits it. Training is focused in the following areas: - Building a reliable, tee-to-green swing - Fine-tuning distance control from 70-140 yards - Competitive mental approach on the course - Putting and Short Game - Execution under all playing conditions Currently I don’t have the financial backing to spend all day training, however I spend 5-6 hours a day training on and off the course using specific drills to help improve the areas of my game listed above. I have also been working with a fitness coach for the past 6 months. Dan Shipman, the owner of Full Torque Fitness, is TPI certified Level 2 and put together a plan to get my body in the best possible shape in readiness for Q-School. I work out 3 days a week with a focus on golf specific fitness, and also 2 yoga sessions a month. I have been making small improvements over the past few months, and I am confident that with the help of my swing coach and also my fitness coach, we will very soon see my game reach new heights. I know that with the financial backing to stop working and put my full attention on training, my game would, very quickly, become ready to compete

Jonathan Hewett 1 st Round Sponsorship Opportunity – 2018

OBJECTIVE:

Achieve status on the PGA Canadian Tour.

My Game

After graduating from DePaul University in the summer of 2017, I moved to St.

Training is focused in the following areas: - Building a reliable, tee-to-green swing- Fine-tuning distance control from 70-140 yards- Competitive mental approach on the course- Putting and Short Game- Execution under all playing conditions

Currently I don’t have the financial backing to spend all day training, however I spend 5-6 hours a day training on and off the course using specific drills to help improve the areas of my game listed above.

I know that with the financial backing to stop working and put my full attention on training, my game would, very quickly, become ready to compete amongst the highest levels on the Web.com and the PGA Tour.

Testimonials from Support Team

John Elliott (Swing Coach) -

Jared Steger (Mentor and Short Game Coach) –“I met Jon about 2 years ago at a charity golf outing. Jon was telling me about his journey as to pursue his dream of playing on the PGA Tour one day. After spending the day with Jon I didn’t see one weakness with his game. He hits it long and straight, great touch around the greens, and the most important a great attitude. Jon’s work ethic and demeanor is second to none. It is a matter of time before Jon gets where he wants to go”.

Ian Highfield (Mental Coach) -

Betty Kaufmann (College Coach) – “Jonathan is a hard-working and focused young man. He has a great work ethic, positive attitude and vibrant personality. I believe his strong character as a person along with his athletic talent will help him to achieve his dream of playing professional golf”.

Dan Shipman (Fitness Coach) -

Background

I was born and raised in a small seaside town in the south east of England, called Clacton-on-sea. I have a twin brother and an older sister, all of whom are living back at home. My parents both play golf, but it was my father who introduced to me to the game of golf at a young age. I took a keen interest in playing with plastic golf clubs in the back yard, and when I reached 11 years old I was allowed to start going to the golf club to try playing on the course.

From then I started playing with the junior section once a week and started picking up a few trophies here and there in the club junior competitions every Saturday. At the age of 14 I qualified to play for the county team, and was asked to take part in some trials to get onto the team. Fortunately I tested well and was able to gain a spot on the team. Over the next 7 years I would go onto play for the under 14’s, under 16’s, under 18’s, under 21’s and men’s teams for the county. In my final year of playing for the under 21’s, I was asked to captain the team, however I had to decline as I would be coming over here to America to attend college to play on the DePaul golf team.

As a junior golfer I experienced some success playing county golf, and was able to play in some national events for a short period before I came to the states. Below are a few of my achievements growing up as a junior.

2008 – U14’s County Championship Medalist (Essex – Maylands GC)2010 – Junior Club Champion (Clacton-on-sea GC)2011 – Daily Telegraph Andalucia European Junior Open – 3rd Place (Spain, Finca Cortesin)2012 – South East England County Foursomes Champions (Haverhill GC)2013 & 2014 – Men’s Club Champion (Clacton-on-sea GC)2015 – Reached final 16 of the English Amateur (Alwoodly GC)

In September 2013, I started playing for the Blue Demons, at DePaul in Chicago. I was awarded a full scholarship, and over my four years at DePaul I played as the number 1 or number 2 player. Although I never secured a title with the team, or an individual title, I came close a number of times. The closest being in my Senior year at the conference championships after having the 2 round lead. Unfortunately I struggled on a few holes in the middle of my last round and finished 5 shots from the lead, but this was a great lesson going into my professional career in how to deal with going into the final round with the lead.

Below are a list of achievements I had whilst playing for DePaul.

2014 - Freshman – Best finish at Big East Conference Championship (10th Place)2015 - Sophomore – Best finish at D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate and John Dalio Memorial (3rd Place)2015 – U.S. Open Local Qualifier medalist (Flossmore CC) - Advanced to sectionals at The Bears Club2016 – Junior – Best finish at John Dalio Memorial (4th Place)2017 – Senior – Best finish at Georgetown Intercollegiate (5th place)2017 – Cook County Amatuer Championship – 2nd Place2017 – Chicago Amateur Championship – 4th Place

2018 ( Estimated) EXPENSE BREAKDOWN ATTACHED

FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENT WITH CURRENT SPONSORS

For three years 2018 - 2021 all golf revenue will be split 50%-50% with individual sponsors based on their percentage participation.

Once sponsors have received an amount equal to their contribution, the split on golf revenue becomes 75%-25% for the remainder of this three year period.

I intend to be available (tournament schedule permitting) to all sponsors for their golf outings, clinics, etc.

Tax Deduction Policy

Sponsorship can most certainly be a tax write-off for businesses as long as there is a clear connection between the sponsorship and your business. This would involve ensuring your company name or logo appear on Jonathan’s equipment or clothing. As it provides public exposure you’re receiving the deduction for the related advertising expense. It is recommended by the IRS that photos are taken as evidence.

Please consider this letter an informal outline and offering of my golf plan. More detailed and formal documents are available for signing as we move forward in this process. All financial activities related to my professional golf career, and living expenses will be itemized and reported semi-annually to individual sponsors.

Thank you for your consideration and potential involvement in my professional golf journey. Please don’t hesitate to give me a call to discuss this further.

Warm regards,

John Elliott

John has made a name for himself in the golfing world as a renowned instructor, contributing to Golf magazine and frequently appearing on the golf channel. His philosophy on golf is to ‘teach the ball and not the swing’. He keeps things simple and is incredibly good at communicating to his students. His knowledge approach to the game of golf is invaluable.

John received the honor of being named as one of Golf Digest Top 50 teachers in 1996, and added to Golf Magazines Top 100 teachers in 1999. These honors still stand today.
