The applicati on of inclined sett ling planes to increase
the sedimentati on performance is an unchallenged
technology; it’s applied in numerous plants worldwide
covering hundreds of applicati ons.
HEWiTube modules equalize the fl ow and facilitates the
phase separati on of parti cles, fl ocs or sludge.
Depending on the task, we provide designs with
diff erent angles, lamella spacings and chevron types for
a controlled pathway of down-sliding sludge.
HEWiTube modules are customized to fi t into round or
rectangular tanks. The modules are made of rigid
Polypropylene and can be placed directly into the tank
sitti ng on a supporti ng structure.
Hewitech also provides additi onal customized package
components such as support structure and HEWiTube
effl uent launders for the best benefi t of our customers.
For remote projects we off er a local self-assembly
opti on in order to reduce logisti cs and labour cost.

Most engineers are using Hazen’s law as design approach for the
sett ling effi cieny.
Hazen’s law links the sett ling velocity [VS] of the target parti cle with
the fl ow rate [Q] and the installed verti cal projected surface [AP].
The Hazen-velocity ( VH = Q/AP ) is the most important design
parameter.
Parti cles with a sett ling velocity that is equal or faster than the
Hazen-velocity will be removed.
