To register for Mad Science:

1. Go to northorange.madscience.org, enter and click “After-School Programs,” then “Register Now.”

2. Select “Beatitudes of Our Lord School” from the location list and follow a few simple steps.

3. You will have to create an account if you have not registered with us. If you have registered through us before, use the “Edit” button to change the grade and teacher for your child.

4. Make sure to click on the box marked “select to register” after your child's name for that child's registration.

5. Choose your payment option. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. An email receipt will be sent to you.

Planets and Moons Explore the farthest reaches of our solar system and create a lunar eclipse in this “mad” planetary tour! Learn how the planets stack up. Test the gravitational pull using magnets in your own Gravity Assisted Launcher.

Sun and Stars This stellar program is your ticket to the stars! Learn about the life cycle of a star and how it relates to us. Create your very own constellation and give it the story of a lifetime. Test your knowledge of the constellations with your Cosmic Disc!

Space Phenomena It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Space Phenomena! Distinguish the differences between what we can see in our night time sky and create your own Crazy Comet!

Living in Space Ever wonder how astronauts are able to live in space? Or exactly how astronauts train to live in space? You'll practice building and repairing satellites and create your own space station blueprint! Students will be able to go on a Spacewalk Mission and look through a Space Telescope!

Space Travel Learn what it takes to be a true globetrotter! See the principals of propulsion at work in a real rocket launch, and build your very own Space Copter to fly to the skies!

Dry Ice Explore the 3 states of matter. Turn water to ice in 30 seconds, build a giant bubbling potion, carbonate plain drinking water and create the same awesome smoke illusions used in the movies. Test the temperature of liquids at home with your very own Thermo-color changing cup!
