“It’s just a matter of the resources around them, which aren’t promising. The fact that they live in poverty makes it so difficult for them to get a good education and chase their dreams ambitiously. I hope however, that they don’t forget any of us HFC interns and that if I return to Vietnam, I can try to help them with whatever they need help with. This trip confirmed to me how precious and valuable children are and that if we are to invest in the future, we must start with the children. After this trip, I seriously contemplated taking a year off after graduation and pursuing an English-teaching career in a developing country. I’m still thinking about this as I write this blog post” (haejinhwang.wordpress.com/about/)
