Our elegant Sandwell Suite is our larger room and is a beautiful venue for your special day... A true gem waiting for you to discover. Picturesque gardens provide an amazing setting for your cherished photograph.

HIGHFIELDS’ ST YLISH AND CONTEMPORARY ROOMS

Our superb Sandwell Suite is for the larger gathering of up to 85 guests and is the perfect venue for your special day.

Alternatively, for the smaller gatherings we have rooms that accommodate 16 people or just 4 people.

WHAT IS A NOTICE OF MARRIAGE?A notice of marriage of civil partnership is a legal requirement. A marriage or civil partnership cannot take place without this paperwork.

The fee for your notice of marriage is £35 per person.

To give notice of marriage you need to provide us with evidence of your name, age and nationality. The easiest way to do this is to bring your current passport. If you do not have a passport and were born before January 1st, 1983 please bring with you your full birth certificate along with your mother’s full birth certificate.

You will also be asked to provide evidence of your current address.

For this you will need: Your driving licence, a utility bill, a bank statement (dated within the past six months) or a council tax bill (dated within the past six months).

If you have been married before or in a formally recognised civil partnership, either here in the UK or abroad, you will need evidence of how this ended. This may be your Divorce Decree Absolute (form D37) or a death certificate if your former spouse or civil partner passed away.

A Decree Nisi is not acceptable. Photocopies are also not acceptable. Your document must have been issued and stamped by the court. If the document is in another language, you will need to have this translated into English.

GIVING YOUR NOTICE OF MARRIAGEBefore you get married or form a civil partnership you must “give notice” of your intention to marry.

Giving notice of marriage applies to all weddings and civil partnerships, excerpt for Church of England weddings (where banns of marriage are published) If you live in Sandwell you must do this at Sandwell Register Office regardless of where you are getting married.

The Marriage Ceremony

Marriage in this country is the union of two people, voluntarily entered into for life, to the exclusion of others.

Your marriage ceremony will be conducted by a Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent Registrar.

The format of your wedding ceremony will be discussed with you before your special day.

Witness/Interpreter

By law you must provide two people to act as witnesses to your marriage who will be required to sign the register. They may be either friends or relatives who must be able to understand English.

If you are unable to understand English you must bring someone who speaks both English and your other language fluently, they will assist you both before and during the ceremony and will also be one of your witnesses. The fee you pay for your marriage will include on marriage certificate.

WEBCASTING/VISUAL AND AUDIO RECORDINGS

Your family and friends who are unable to be with you on your special day can be view by logging onto the internet from anywhere in the world!

• Live webcasts of your ceremony will be broadcast on the internet via a secure link this fee for this is £41. This recording captures arrival of guests, entrance of the bridal party and your ceremony. This will be available to view on line for 7 days after the ceremony.

• Live Webcasts Plus Visual Recordings of your ceremony. Includes one USB Memory Stick (£78) Additional USB sticks (£37)

• All recordings distributed on USB memory sticks, unless specifically requested on DVD, which are also £78 and any additional ones for £37.

These will be available for collection from Sandwell Register Office approximately 10 working days after the ceremony.
