REFLECTION ON PESTA ANG POW (PAP) KE-16 KTSN UKM

What is PAP KTSN UKM? An annual Chinese cultural event organized by

the undergraduate students living in KTSN UKM It has been organised for 15 years and this is

the 16th time It purpose:

To unite the UKM students from different ethnicity and background

To provide a platform for UKM students to showcase their talent

To promote the beautiful culture of Malaysian Chinese

INTRODUCTION

I am the Chairman (pengarah) of the committee and hence is the one who chair the meeting.

We realised were a lot of problems and issues occuring at that time (It was a week before the event), such as: No VIP was invited yet Invitations for lecturers and other society hadn’t

given out yet Tentative hadn’t confirmed yet

We had an argument at that time as we only focus on the people that we thought was responsible for the problem

MEMORABLE INCIDENCE: Meeting of Majlis Tertinggi

We forgot the purpose of the original event, and were just focusing on making the event success. We forgot to encourage one another and help each other, but just wanted to find a scapegoat

At last we came to our senses, and we quickly pull ourselves together, each one admitting his own fault. We became united after the argument, and agreed to disagreement. We truly became a team, which was why the program could be successful at the end.

opinions and suggestions

WEAKNESS Communication skills –

effort to communicate and get the message across

Always plan in advance and in detailed, and let discuss the plan with others

THREAT Misunderstanding

occurs, causing problem in the execution of the program

The spirit of the team affected and down

SWOT Analysis

Teamwork and co-operation is of utmost essential in any event or organisation

Hence communication skills and teamwork skills are very essential

I realized I were not well polished in that two skills and will continue to polish it in the future.

I am truly grateful to all who had contributed in one way or another to the event.
