You can only visit this sand dune by float plane. These sand dunes spread in 100 kilometers across

Park west of Calgary, connected to the Visitor Information Centre at Barrier Lake.
L’Anse Aux Meadows
L’Anse Aux Meadows is a historical Norse settlement and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here
visitors can see the Vikings’ base camp and study about the site’s 1000-year-old history from costumed
interpreters. L’Anse Aux Meadows is open from June to early October.
Powder King Mountain Resort
Powder King Mountain Resort is also referred as “Whisper of the North,” . Located in the province’s
northern region, and receives an amazing 41 feet of snowfall each year. Experts suggest the best time
to visit is the middle to end of January.
It is located in the Northwest Territories, Alexandra Falls on the Hay River has a 10-story fall over a
limestone ridge. There are two platforms for capture photos of the striking falls, which are the
centerpiece of Twin Falls Territorial Park.
