This material resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents. It is highly flexible and conformable. The ba se fiber is manufactured to the specifications of ASTM D-578, ASTM committee D13, and subcommittee D13.18. The seals are jacketed with a knitted 304 stainless steel wire mesh, providing significant abra sion resistance. Supplied cut to len gth or available by-the-foot and in bulk quantity. This seal can also be fabricated with Inconel, but the common part numbers listed in the catalog are supplied as standard with a stainless steel core an d jacket. Some resellers ina ccurately describe the standard seal as containing Inconel. Available in precut lengths as par t n umber 4900159-23, 4900159-38 & 4900159-48. Available in by-the-foot lengths or bulk le ngth as part number F-E15600- 00-00.
