PLUS (Positive, Learning, Understanding, & Support)PLUS is a credit-based mentoring class thatprovides students with one-on-one academic and emotional support throughout their high school career. During PLUS, students have an opportunity to explore careers and colleges, set academic goals, participate in team-building activities, and com-plete SAT preparation.

Online CoursesFCHS offers classes within a traditional classroom and online courses. Students who are taking these courses have the ability to work on the curriculum with teachers in real-time. This allows students to work more efficiently and effectively with support.

College and Career ExplorationsStudents are provided with opportunities to explore community colleges, universities, military branches, and trade schools to jump-start their futures. Throughout the year, counselors provide students with on-site visits, as well as campus tours. Students are able to discover their aptitudes and interests in a variety of careers through assessment tools and career fairs.

Alexcia Stoner - FCHS Graduate

At first, I was worried about starting a new school. I worried that I would not fit in, that I would have problems with the students, and that I would be judged for the subjects I struggled with. Once I got to Central, it was the opposite of what I thought it would be.

Why

Classes

Central helped me in ways other schools failed. It recog-nized my strengths and made them stronger; it determined where I struggled and was able to help me improve. Central allowed me to grow as a person mentally and academically. I came to Central, I found my true potential, and I became a better version of myself.
