Our lab-at-home blood test can reliably monitor different aspects of the immune-system or any other protein biomarker, delivering results within minutes that are stored and automatically communicated to the primary care physician.
There exists no reliable home-based method of monitoring the health of the immune system, which would, if available, help optimise the regimen of chemotherapy or other immunosuppressive treatments with respect to the strength of the immune-system.

We have adapted the existing Fraunhofer technology for rapid antibody-based detection, to count the number of neutrophils (indicator of immune function) from a finger prick blood sample. A smartphone camera collects the data that is stored in an app and shared with the primary physician as per GDPR.
Our solution is based on well-tested methodology and it is straightforward to introduce additional antibodies to target different cells of the immune-system. Our method is therefore modular, where a set of tests can be customised for specific diseases.
The simplicity of our technology creates a diverse set of clients, ranging from any type of cancer or immunocompromised patient, hospitals in need for quick primary tests, as well as pharmaceutical companies that would couple their drugs with our technology.

Over 200 million people worldwide are living with urinary incontinence (UI). In addition to affecting patient quality of life, UI is a leading risk factor for falls, urinary tract infections and pressure ulcers, the latter costing the German healthcare system up to 2.3 Billion euros annually.

Our single-use briefs with a passive humidity-sensing RFID tag combine with an adaptive bedside processing unit for high-power, real-time notifications to caregivers.
While some humidity sensors for incontinence briefs exist on the market, they require Bluetooth and power. This makes them expensive, heavy, and non-disposable. PeriPower briefs fit within existing nurses’ patient care workflows, but inform them when a patient is sitting in a wet brief.
We designed our product for nurses to use with incontinent patients in hospitals and nursing homes. In Germany, more than 2.18 million adults over 40 experience UI. As many incontinence-related costs are not covered as part of the DRG, PeriPower briefs create value for these facilities.

The future of healthcare diagnostics starts on the single cell level. Even high-end technologies like next generation sequencing (NGS) can be improved if applied on pure cell populations or on a single cell level. The vast majority of these technologies need individual and undistorted cells for the analytical process. Prior treatment with enzymes, as current state of the art, changes the cell’s morphology and surface markers which drastically decreases their diagnostic potential. Our EnsiroEMMA gas sensor system monitors air quality parameters with a high measuring accuracy that complies with the 39th BImSchV.
These include NO, NO2, O3 and fine dust with particle sizes of 2.5 and 10 µm. The problem is that building sand has become a precious resource. For example, in the booming Gulf states, all the construction sand has to be imported from Australia because desert sand has an unsuitable grain size. The technology consists of a granulation process. It is based on a binder system that "glues" desert sand particles together to form standard-compliant construction sand. ODS - Omnishape Drilling Systems
The Fraunhofer Omnishape Drilling System is a game changing approach to drilling, enabling almost any hole shape with zero torque in the process. This innovation allows for new products and significant new after-market sales opportunities. The drilling is generated in a linear rasping process. As no rotation takes place, the shape of the lances is able to be round in cross section, but also arbitrary different: triangular, square, rectangular, pentagonal, star-shaped, cloverleaf design.
Torque occurs to the workpiece, this has injury potential; In case of earth augurs: torque transfers over the handle to the hands of the operator, turning the handles, if the drill is wedging in the ground; Round holes do not have anti-twisting abilities (Verdrehsicherheit); The generation of angular holes, in particular in metal, is complicated (2 step process)
We have intensive discussions with customers in the applications of hand power tools (drywalls, wood) and handheld or vehicle connected earth augers. We also carried a series of in-depth customer interviews in the segment of metal working.

We developed a wireless communication technology ("UMC") to transfer configuration data onto IoT devices from any mobile device. UMC utilizes the phones speaker to generate an electromagnetic signal that can be received by the device and requires only some passive components on the device side.

Every IoT device needs to be configured before being able to connect to the internet. During their life cycle, devices may be sold, reused or updated and therefore reconfiguration will be necessary. This interaction needs a secure, cheap and easy-to-use solution.
