We want them to be positive as they walk to and from school, have a hunger for learning as they enter the school, and display appropriate behavior at all times. Some of our staff members are spending entirely too much time correcting negative behaviors instead of celebrating positive behavior. During this time of new beginnings, please, take a few moments to water the seeds of positive behavior, good work habits, and respect we know you have already planted in your babies. We will work with you to nourish them and help them grow. Every day is a chance for all of us to be better than we were the day before. Administration News Goodbye Winter…Hello Spring!

I am happy the weather is getting ready to change. The Spring

Season is a symbol for new beginnings, growth, fresh starts, and cleaning out the old to make room for new things.

We want you to remind our little Hawks that they have a chance to

enter our school, each day, with a clean slate and a hunger to learn. Our teachers prepare lessons for them that will get them ready for success.

However, in order for the lessons to have the impact the teachers would like for them to have, it is imperative that our students listen, come prepared with school supplies, and focus on having a Growth Mindset.

We want them to want to be better, each day. We need your help!

We desire for our students to remember the tips for success that they learn at home and at school. We want them to be positive as they

walk to and from school, have a hunger for learning as they enter the school, and display appropriate behavior at all times. Some of our staff members are spending entirely too much time correcting negative

behaviors instead of celebrating positive behavior.

During this time of new beginnings, please, take a few moments to

water the seeds of positive behavior, good work habits, and respect we know you have already planted in your babies. We will work with you to nourish them and help them grow.

Every day is a chance for all of us to be better than we were the day before. We want all of our children to strive to do the right thing, at all times. “Out with the old and in with the new.” New season, new

HAWKS!

Teamwork makes the dream work,

Ms. Brown and Mrs. McNeil

Be there!

Regular attendance in elementary school sets up a good pattern for your child’s entire school career. Show them that school

comes first by trying to keep days off for illnesses and family emergencies. Also, schedule routine doctor and dentist appointments for after school or over school breaks.

Physical Education News Parents/Guardians I have been teaching my students how to bowl. They have learned how to put their fingers in the ball, how to stay behind the foul line, how to hold the ball, how to step with the ball, and how to follow through while staying focused, I encourage you to take the students to a bowling alley which will allow them to practice the skill that I have taught them in physical education class. The next subject I will teach is softball. I look forward to teaching the students how to throw catch, and how to hit a softball. Field day helpers needed!! Field day will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017. If you are interested in helping on field day for a half-day or a full day during school hours please email me at [email protected]. Thanks!
