SUMMER ENRICHMENT CAMP

Immerse your child into constructive and engaging

activities for the summer. All activities are geared

towards team building skills and interacting with others.

Youth will participate in activities ranging from sporting

events, field trips, nature trips, and swimming.

June 10- August 2 | Monday- Friday | 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

$400 for 8 weeks or $50 per week(Cost of fieldtrips not included)

Ages 6- 13

SENIORS

Senior StretchA low-impact workout including video exercises with stationary

cardiovascular exercises and stretches.

Tuesday/Thursday | 11-11:30 a.m. | FREE | Ages 60+

SilverSneakersThe Silver Sneakers Program is a low-impact workout developed for

seniors. The class offers a blend of cardio-walking, running in place,

arm exercises, chair crunches, leg lifts and squats. Classes are free for

Humana Health Plan members and select insurance providers. Please

check with your insurance provider.Tuesday/Thursday | 10-11 a.m. | Ages 60+

Free for Humana Members; $10 month for Hillcrest Members

MARC Senior Lunch ProgramSponsored by Mid-America Regional Council for Aging, this program

provides a nutritional meal for the 60+ age population. Participants

must call 816-784-7005 for a lunch reservation 24 hours in advance.Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday | 12-1 p.m. | Ages 60+

General Computer Class for Seniors (NEW Program)This class is designed for seniors to learn the fundamentals of

computer use. Topics include using the keyboard, micro soft programs

and Internet.

Senior Independence Day Celebration (NEW)Enjoy good food and have fun while celebrating the 4th of July.

Skills ‘N’ Drills (NEW)Basketball drills and workouts for youth including shooting, passing,

and dribbling.

GED PrepFree GED preparation classes for adults in partnership with MCPL and

T.F.C. (Time for Change) T.F.C. is a mentoring group for youth designed to engage, challenge,

and inspire young minds by breaking down daily issues that affect

T- BallA fun way for boys and girls to learn basic baseball rules and

College Showcase Explosion (NEW)This is a great opportunity to learn more about the colleges of your

choice. Also while showcasing your talent on the basketball court as

$10 per player/ $10 per coach | 16+

Hip-Hop ‘N’ at the Hill (NEW)This program is a talent search where contestants can choose from

four different categories: dance, comedy, poetry, and music in which

to compete. Youth—individual or group--are judged on creativity,

originality, positive mannerisms, and overall talent. The first round of

judging is March 15, 4-5 p.m. Selected winners will be opening acts

for local inner city artists during the Hip-Hop ‘N’ at the Hill Concert.

Volleyball ClinicYouth learn the basic fundamentals of volleyball with an emphasis on

safety and correct technique.

King of the Hill Pool TournamentThis competitive pool tournament is calling all pool sharks out the

water for a winner-takes-all event. Enjoy socializing with family and

Club KC, a summer weekend hangout for middle and high school students begins May 24! Activities include swim parties, video games, dancing, DJs, food and drink, basketball tournaments, dance contests, Xbox tournaments, hip hop instruction, movies, computers, live performances and more.
