Join Hills Riders at our Annual Phillip

Island International Classics Ride

Sunday 23rd January 2011

Following on from the success of the 2010 event Hills Riders will again be at the Island in January for the popular Island

Classic. We will meet at 10.00am on Sunday 23rd at turn 12 just before the main straight. Ride down and join us for tea, coffee and classic bikes. Approaching the 18th edition of the event, the field of pre-war, classic, post-

classic and forgotten era motorcycles continues to grow. This is always an awesome day with HRs providing a gazebo, some chairs and both tea and

coffee for a gold coin donation. Walk the pits, watch the races, relax in the sun and

enjoy the company. This year everyone is making their own way to the track because the HRs team will already be down at the

Island after spending the weekend planning the year ahead.

Our last ride for the year is to Mount Donna Buang. Afterwards we will be celebrating the year together with a

BBQ at the Perry’s

place. Even if you

can’t make the ride up the mountain

come to the BBQ and enjoy being together for the last time in 2010. Partners and kids

are invited, this will be a real family day.

OCTOBER Ride Reports

Where were you guys? Just because we had torrential rain I couldn’t see why this should have stopped you

turning up for our October ride; only kidding. We had to cancel two rides, (both our regular October ride and

our Saturday ride ) because of the welcome but crazy weather we’ve been having. However, ten hardy riders!!!

turned up in cars for our last ride, as well as Tony and Nadia who came on their bike to Emerald and then

took off for a ride to Yea; crazy but it was probably great fun.

Check out the October RIDE opposite as we were leaving the car park. This mad weather is all the more reason why you should join us on December 12th for

our last ride and celebration BBQ.

I want to thank the awesome Hills Riders team: Kyria and Tony Perry, Greg and Sarah Treble, Brian Harlow

and Graeme Blood. Give them a pat on the back, they're awesome and I love serving you with them.

TWILIGHT rides are coming

Summers coming and you know what that means…..Twilight Rides. Finish the

week with Hills Riders. Unwind with a light meal, friendly conversation and a

casual ride through the hills. Every Friday evening in February 6:00pm sharp

Meet at St. Mark’s at 6:00pm with a full tank as always. We usually finish up

around 9:30pm so no tinted visors for the trip home. Destinations will include

our usual favourites like The Pig and Whistle at Mt Dandenong, The Pelican

Cafe at Tooradin, as well as a couple of new surprise destinations.

2. An all day ride to support research into men’s prostate cancer on
